I have been on Apri contraceptive for one year. I was wondering if you have to still use another form of protection the first week even after being on the pill for over a year? I am nervous about getting pregnant if using no protection the first week eventhough I have been on apri for so long.

My question is: does the instruction for needing to use another form of protection for the first week only apply to those who are new to taking the pill? Or does it also apply to those who have been on the pill for a longer period of time?
