I have a rather large red bump on my right labia minora. It's hard and hurts unbearably to squeeze and there's no head on it. It's very uncomfortable, painful, and makes wearing anything but athletic shorts inconvenient. I'm 17 and a virgin so it's not an std. I don't think it's an ingrown hair either because I don't grow hair there. Any ideas on what it could be?

I have had these same bumps/pimples occasionally in the past. They start out as a small itching, burning bump and come to a head. Most of the time after I pop them they go away. They have seemed to have increased in the past month and a half. I'm scared to death after reading some of the symptoms online that its an STD!!!! I would have thought they were clogged pores since they are in areas where there isn't hair. Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Might be a condition known as hidradenitis supprativa. It's more common than people realize.

If it is on your mons pub is or outer labia, it's most likely an ingrown hair. If it's on your inner labia, it's probably a cyst (like a spot, but deeper and more pus). Look up Bartholin's cysts. They are mostly harmless, though painful. I've had a few over the years, and squeeze them when they're ready (when they become super painful). They can be linked to STIs. If you're concerned, always go see your doc. http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Bartholins-cyst/Pages/Introduction.aspx

Hey my cousin had this exact thing happen and she has had surgery to get it fixed. Maybe that's the only way to stop it. I'm not sure

I have a small pimple looking bump on my inner labia minora. It's very painful as any pimple I've had on my face. It's making it very uncomfortable to wear pants or panties at all. It doesn't look like herpes at ALL thank God. If it doesn't go away I will have to get a gyno that's on my insurance and get it checked out. Normal acne treatments are to harsh to put 'down there'. I am very ashamed to go to a gyno with issues so I understand your concern. It is what they do and see all day every day so I saw we just suck it up and see a gyno if our symptoms persist.

Mine is like that, the left Labis is bigger then the right, although there was no Pia it was like a hard core, and the lump was red instead of white pus.

I think you might need an M.D. who is a Gynecologist AND a Dermatologist. These are very hard to find; we have ONE in the Charlotte, NC area and she travels the world much of the time teaching other docs. You MIGHT get a doc to give you a 'round' of Valcyclovir which is a med they give for Herpes
outbreaks and it MIGHT help you. I use it, I have gotten little bumps on & off over the years, not big or full of pus, etc. thank goodness but they do go away !

I have a pimple near to the opening of my vagina. It's really big and white but it's red in the middle. It's painful to touch or rub and it's scaring me.
