I had lower jaw operation (set back) 5 weeks ago. I noticed straight after the operation that left side was protruding more than the other side and I was told it was because of the swelling and it would go away. After weeks most of the swelling has gone down and when I look at my face I can see clearly that left side of the jaw protrudes and right side is flat. Before the operation I had a cross bite and had no prtruding jaw problems. Now it is like I have a square jaw on the left and long jaw on the right. When I mentioned it to the surgeon week after surgery, his response was, you cant have it symetric. Plus I had no pain in my right ear before surgery and now I get unbearable shooting pains on my right side only, none on the left strangely . I am getting very upset :'( and although I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow I know he'll try to reassure me that it is fine. I'd like to know what might have happened during the operation. Anybody had a similar experience? Pls help
