Hi. I have been ttc for 9 years now. I have tried everything. I have been to the "famous" Sher Institute - they were even unable to help me. I have tried 4 IUIs and 3 IVFs - everything has failed. Before I started seeing a specialist, I did get pg on my own, but it ended in a m/c...right when I was supposed to get AF. I thought it was just a terrible AF, and I only knew I was pg because a week later I started bleeding and called the RE. When I went in for a blood test, I was told I was pg, but my beta (HCG) numbers were low. In retrospect, what had happened was that I already miscarried but still had residual HCG in my system.
I started Ovulex (I suppose as a one last chance since I'm 36 and don't want kids after 40...really I wanted to be done having kids by 33 or 34) on October 2nd - 25 days into my cycle. I was already 10 dpo (days past ovulation) so I was getting my body ready for the next cycle. Well AF was late - my lp (luteal phase was 16 days long which was unusual) - but it did come. Only....it was here for 1.5 - 2 days and NO CRAMPS! Unbelievable! I got AF on Tuesday right at noon, and woke up Thursday morning with NOTHING. It's Friday afternoon and still nothing! WAHOO!!!
NOW - I can't say Ovulex will help me get pregnant but I have already seen 2 WONDERFUL things using this product. My menstrual cycles were always slightly irregular, long, and my luteal phase was sometimes too short to carry a pregnancy. It's supposed to be around 12 days. Mine was typically 11, but I have had cycles were my lp was 7, 8, 9, and 10 days. Never steady.
My periods were always excruciatingly painful and heavy with terrible blood clots. It was so bad I could barely stand sometimes. I got horrible gas during AF which made it worse because of all the pressure. It felt like I was being stabbed repreatedly. The only thing that ever helped was birth control pills. Now, I was in a dilemma. Either give up ttc, or give up bcps and continue to be in pain until good -ol' menopause kicked in.
Thanks to Ovulex (so far) I had a FABULOUS period. (weird to say, I know). I told my SO that I will probably stay on this stuff FOREVER.
