Im 30 and started having these same symptoms maybe a few years ago. It only happens after sex for me and pretty much only when I drink alcohol. I originally thought it was from dehydration or the diuretic effect of the alcohol making my piss more acidic. The muscle theory makes sense though too bc recently I injured my pc muscle (your orgasm muscle, and the muscle that controls peeing ect.) and it seems to be happening much more frequently, indicating to me that the weakened state of the muscle may be affecting the operation of switching from ejaculation to peeing and closing off the proper tubes completely.

On a side note, fellas don't ever hold back an orgasm! I somehow discovered years ago that I could have an orgasm but not ejaculate if I concentrated hard enough on the pc muscle. Usually only with masturbation as it was usually too intense to do with a lady. I did this for years with no ill effect but last week I did this and something went horribly wrong! I got an immediate sharp pain in my perineum (taint area) and felt like I had blown a tube or something! Pain and discomfort persisted for about 5 days, constant aching and pain when aroused. I did massive research on the web and had symptoms of prostatitis but eventually decided that I had pulled or torn the pc muscle. Thank god a few days of icing my taint and lots of ibuprofen treating like a pulled muscle seems to have corrected the problem. I can tell you I will never try to hold one back again!

So since that muscle has been sore/injured I find that I am having some weekend bladder effects and the "razorpiss" symptoms have been occurring much more frequently, but still mainly with alcohol use. I am very glad to see so many other guys having the same problem though! I never had any insight into this problem and didn't realize that other people experienced exactly the same thing. My remedies have always been to piss once and then fight back the urge to pee again, knowing that it will only be a few dribbles with more burning, and try to forget about it. It usually subsides in 30-45 mins for me. Also drinking lots of water to fill your bladder then waiting till it is full and taking a good long pee usually helps. I think it happens more frequently when I am dehydrated also, I am assuming this is because my pee would be more acidic in a dehydrated state. I hope this helps someone put it all together and find a cure for this! No doctors have been able to help? Wtf! Get on it medical community! Good luck guys!

I'm with the dehydration theory. Now if the missus is in the mood and I've been drinking alcohol, I will grab a vase-sized glass and chug water for half an hour before getting started, and that always avoids the problem. I''m not always as careful before masturbating, however, hence I am on this site now instead of sleeping. It's not always caused by alcohol, but I'm pretty sure it happens when I am not consuming enough fluids like water as opposed to diuretics like coffee. I went to the gym today, which I believe left me more dehydrated and contributed to the problem.

After it happens to me I consume water like a sonofabich and it seems to pass faster then if I don't, forty-five minutes as opposed to an hour and a half without the water. My bowels evacuate as well when it happens, and I get the dribble-peeing and the pain. Totally sucks. Massaging gives some relief, but I think no more then rubbing a bump on the noggan or a sore muscle.

The body seems to be trying to get rid of something, maybe the lack of fluids slows things down so the body makes up for it by emptying out everything.

Okay it's gone now. Goodnight.

Wow, how relieved I am that I'm not the only one having this kinda pain. Im 19 and been having it everytime I drink something too much, alcoholic or non-alcoholic and ejaculate either after sex or masturbation. Surprisingly, all the symptoms here match the symptoms I always get when this kind of "pain" comes around.

1.happens when there is much/massive fluid intake before ejaculation
2. makes you wanna sit down on the toilet and think that its an std.. which thankfully, isnt (not a symptom but just wanted to put this)
3. have an urge to pee out a seemingly bottomless bladder and yet when you do, only dribbles of pee come out and more pain results.
4. not really an itch but a burning sensation you feel on your urethra that sometimes is outlined and th burning runs deeper toward the anus.

so after sitting and waiting it out on the toilet on your partner's crib, and it really f*cking drives you up the wall plus the embarrassment.you try to think of stuff that would most likely cause it. before reading all these, i actually found out that my hunches were the same with other posts..with semen and urine mixing together making a burning feeling on your urethra, some tubes not closing or thinking that vagina juice or some lubricant of yours is giving you an infection. and yes, even std.

Like y'all, I should've googled this a long time ago. damn, still glad to know that I'm not alone with this. I just found all this posts and when I was at the beginning I had the burning pee pain but after reading all these stuff, glad its freakin gone already. its 3am est right now..goodnight brothers.

ok, the thesis is.

This happens if you have had a lot of fluids. (Alcohol is just another fluid and can lead to the same situation.)
Consumption of fluids is before ejaculation. (ejaculation could be either sex or masturbation).
I am not sure if anyone else has reported this. This happens most of the time if you are in a prolonged state of arousal. Rarely when the ejaculation is a quickie.
This also happens to people who have never had sex and only ejaculate through masturbation. (So probably not an STD.)
Drinking more water relieves the symptoms.
Here is another issue people have not mentioned. This happens after some people have tried the stop and go technique. ( A technique apparently used to prevent ejaculation to make sure you stay harder longer to please the women. ) I think this piece of information is the most vital one of all. I am not sure the muscles we use to hold back ejaculation is a natural use of the muscles.

I think the answer if at all lies in not using these muscles for the task. I am not sure if we can detrain our body not to use these muscles to hold back ejaculation. I think we are supposed to use them to hold back urine. But this is just a thesis. Everyone else is welcome to comment on this.

There was a thesis on some other websearches that this was related to the closing of the urinary tract during sexual activity and the delay in opening up the tract. (not sure how true this is. If it is true it could relate to the problem at hand.)

What works to relieve the pain:

1) Most likely you have already urinated, So now the pain/feeling is even worse. Start drinking fluids and lots of it. This will force you to urinate completely and not have the dripples.

2) Sounds wierd, but using three fingers, rub your penis from bottom to tip. Messaging the muscles with your fingers. Mostly the base though. (THIS HELPS ALOT! - others have mentioned, masterbating again, but not ejaculating... don't be aroused and focus on urathera)

3) The pain will remain and be the same until done. So pyschologically... If you can block/not pay attention to the pain, do it!

4) Learn and try to avoid this situation. Don't urinate a lot or right after sex. As for as alcohol - most likely frequent urination (a lot more then normal) and ejaculation leads to either a muscle pain or urathera burn.

"Stinging when urinating after sex

Q . Since I was a teenager sometimes after sex I get a very bad stinging sensation and feel I want to pass water. I sit on the toilet for ages before this passes, and it stings when I pee.

A. Relax, because you are experiencing a very common and normal reaction. During sex the prostate is stimulated along with the pipe — the urethra - which goes from the bladder to the tip of the penis. This pipe carries both sperm and urine, although not supposedly at the same time. The stimulation of ejaculation along with the physical trauma sensitises this pipe and the prostate causing a mild inflammation. As a result you feel as though you need to pass water. When you try so hard it makes the whole thing worse by further sensitising the urethra setting up a vicious circle.

Next time do not go to the toilet and wait instead. Go only once and no matter how much it stings just hold on for a while. The pain will go away and settle. If you experience this without having sex, and especially if there is any discharge of green or yellow pus, you may have a sexually transmitted infection and should attend your GUM clinic. They will see you with no name and no-one else including your GP will be any the wiser."

- From a UK medical Q/A website.

No answer on how to subdue the pain though.

Ive been experiencing this since I was 13 and I'm now 19. I hear a lot of people on here attributing this to alcohol consumption but I don't drink so that doesn't add up. My personal opinion is that after a man ejaculates, there is still an amount semen left lining the inside of his urethra which makes your urethra kinda stick to itself with semen (hence the way you pee all over the toilet after having sex). and when you try n urinate after its dry it makes it very uncomfortable and painful (kinda like taking a band-aid off) inside your urethra. So my suggestion is simply, right after you masturbate or have sex, go urinate (even if you don't have to pee that much) and that way you wont have this pain. Every time I do this it doesn't happen to me. So everyone should try that and post if it worked for them :) again this is based on opinion not fact.

This happens to me alot.

What works for me when i feel it coming is to drink a big glass of water and try to avoid peeing for about 15 minutes until it goes away, it always works for me so i hope this might help.

There are now over the counter pills that you could ask your pharmacist for. It is actually very effective against infections.
I used the pills on two occasions and they worked just as well as antibiotics.

Infections cause burning. Take the pills and wait about 48 hrs unless it is a severe case of burning. You should already have made an appointment with the Dr.
If the pills do not clear it up, then don't mess around. Make an appointment with your Dr to find out whats going on. Infections and diseases spread.

Guys.

I have had the same problem for a couple of years now. I dont think its beer because I dont drink, although the yeast may aggravate it.
Who knows. Anyhow, I think I have found the cause. I think it is a syndrome known as CP or CPPS.

Check the links below, print them and then take them to your doctor. That is what i am going to do.

Good luck all.

Yeah the burning is because the semen that hasnt been probablly dispensed from the penis is blocking the urine which is natural body aicd and that is why it burns, simple fix, piss before you masturbate.
