I have bought a good quality mattress with lumbar support springs.
Also, I have either IBS or diverticulitis so I have eliminated milk from my diet. I tested my allergy by drinking a litre or milk last week. I was in agony an hour later with gas and abdominal pain.

I too feel that desperation as none of the doctors or specialist seem to give a squat about the miserable constant nagging intense pain I am in. I have some more diagnostics coming up this week so hopefully someone will finally see something that can get to the root of the pain but I am hopeless at this point.

I can definitely relate to this thread. My life over the last year has been a nightmare of testucular, hip, lower back and upper buttock pain with the testicular pain being the worst by far. I have been to over 30 Doctors. Started just like yours - In the middle of the night, no warning, all at once. Diagnosed epititimitous twice, two different doctors, antibiotics. No change. Had full testing for STD's twice- all negative, full xray of hip- ok, testicular ultra sound- ok, mri of back- slight bulge in disk. Now I went to get an MRI of the hips and they think it is all being caused by hip retroversion. I am in physical therapy and it was better until I began doing my normal job again. This includes sitting in what shoud be a nice, comfortable office chair, but instead, it wrecks me. The sitting position is the only thing that changes as well as if I stand more. I do not know what to do now!!! I cannot work in my normal field anymore, the pain comes and goes, but seems that when I sit "wrong" , it wrecks me for days. I was hoping that therapy would fix it.
The pain usually starts in the upper buttock, you can feel when it is going to be bad. Occassionally you get a sharp "electrical" type pain in the testical that is not as bad as the regular pain, but can scare you. I also get a weird sensation feeling in the penis as well, like a pulling feeling or burning (remember I have been to multiple urologists and no problem found) that comes and goes and seems to get better when lying down. Then my hips and groin seem to tighten. I do sporadically feel a pain in the back part of my hip that comes and seems to feel like testicular/sickening pain. Sorry to ramble, but its desperation now. I am 37 years old and have had to leave my regular job for one where I just answer the phone (not move), had to move in with my parents because I cant afford my own place anymore, and cannot go out and do anything because I am too afraid of the pain. Thanks everyone.
Dude, This has been my life story for the past 10 years. I am 33 y/o male and am suffering debilitating pain but every doctor except one has blown me off as some kind of pill seeker because they can't figure out what is causing my pain. The only thing setting me apart is I have a bulge in my groin that is either a swollen lymph node or inguinal hernia. I also experience the general inguinal neuropathy on the right side of my body.

I’ve had similar symptoms of R groin and R scrotal (epididymum and vas def) pain wax and wane for over 2 years. Sore to walk/sit, burning scrotum and groin, occasions of knifing groin (or in the vas def as it exits the scrotum and refers knifing sensations in the groin). Some sensations of possible partial torsion needing to adjust. Pain also in lower back, sometimes upper thigh and lower leg (shin and ankle). No UTI’s. No lumps.
I’ve read some of the posts about epididymitis and recently found some information that could be of use to anyone who may be able to correlate. There seems to be a link between caffeine and alcohol and epididymitis. So, if anyone who drinks or has a lot of tea, coffee or caffeine-containing drinks, they could experiment by stopping these for a while and seeing what happens.
I also found a newspaper Daily Mail article by a Dr Martin Scurr on chronic pelvic pain syndrome/chronic prostatitis. He refers to Cernilton, a rye pollen extract that has given some sufferers benefit. Cernilton has some anti-inflammatory properties. Although the article detailed symptoms such as burning on urination and increased frequency – which are prostatitis symptoms, chronic pelvic pain doesn’t necessarily have those symptoms. In some literature, CP/CPPS is described as a catch all of convenience for doctors when a highly specific diagnosis can’t be made, but that the symptoms the sufferer is experiencing fall into the definition of CP/CPPS – symptoms happening within the pelvis and within a certain distance of the prostate gland – even if the prostate gland isn’t involved. The doctor suggested a 3-6 month trial of Cernilton. I found it is available from Amazon (under name Prostabrit).
Cee Jay. You say you have a bulge but you've seen doctors. Have they seen the bulge but don't think it is anything? Is the bulge itself painful? Or is the pain thro'out scrotum and groin and sometimes difficult to exactly pinpoint the pain location? Does it hurt when you sneeze/cough (they say hernias can hurt when sneezing/coughing).
Have you tried warm baths (but some say hot baths for epididymitis isn't good in case it causes damage to the tubules in the epididymum and might cause infertility). Ice pack (care not to get frost bite - use a towel between the skin and the ice pack - and only apply for a very short time, like a few seconds and give it a rest, don't let the skin freeze, and don't do this if you are desperate to go to sleep just in case you fall asleep and leave the ice applied).
Does the pain reduce by elevating the scrotum whilst standing, or when lying down and putting knees up, lifting/cupping scrotum off the thigh?
Have you tried amitriptyline at lose dose such as 10m/day - it's an antidepressant (not at that low dose) but has unexplained analgesic properties and can desensitise the nerve endings. One doctor prescribed this with paracetamol together.
Gabapentin is another medicine that has been suggested to help in calming the nerve endings.
Note, before you take any medicine mentioned, always check with a doctor who knows your medical history and any medications you might be taking (which might intere with other meds causing adverse reaction or stop being as effective).
