Scot - Update on 3/20/16...

Well you all have seem to read my huge post with all the issues.  As of last week I went to another Dr. to get another look at me because I can not take it anymore and just hoping somebody can do something... Well I got a lil hope from this one.

Had an exam done again, and the Dr. also checked the groin for the pain to testicles.  He does believe that the issue is from a nerve that goes to groin and testicles. ( I and everybody else know this already but they dont do anything)

During groin part of exam, Dr is telling me that I have inflammation along the groin area. (when he pushes on it pain is a 9+) SO what do they plan on doing I wonder.... for the 9 Millionth time !!!???

Okay in laymens terms this is the plan. He wants to inject my messed up discs and slightly inflate each one (disc) and see which is causing the pain to groin and back, basically troubleshoot each disc.

The thought is if the disc is hitting the nerve and causing pain, then if you make the disc slightly larger, then the pain should also go up, this actually makes sense for once!!! If we figure that out we will do a Facet Injection on the appropriate disc or discs.

After those injections we will also get some groin injections that will help with the inflammation and the pain.

I have already had 5 sets of epidurals under live xray in the past with no good results, they did not help at all.

OK Please wish me well on this, I dont know exact date that we are doing this but it is expected at the end of the month

______________________

Refresher of past

Seen probably 8 Surgeons and DO, and have seen many other Doctors for diagnosis, Have yet to actually get a term or name for issue in 8 years

5 MRIs Countless Xays

5 sets epidural

2 Urologists, also 2 Ultrasounds scans on Testicles ( all ok referred to Back Dr.)

Test where they shock you nerve latency? Had done 4x unknown results

Chiropractors ( will never go back tried for a month)

Accupuncture, TENS, Cryotherapy, Physical Therapy, Massages, Back Braces, ect. ( none of these work, may get temp relief for 15 min if that)

I stretch at home as I get better results than the above.

Med that I get put on.

Lyrica 2x per day ( Helps a little)

Pain Killers - Roxi  Only way to bear it and I hate them.

Prednisone- I have to beg for this, I love it as it get some relief but Doc hate giving this.

Aleve, Tylenol, Ibuprofen... I actually get best results when you take 500 mg Aleve and 500 mg Tylenol Together !!!

And if I end up in the Hospital because of Spasms so bad I cant even breath then you want  TORODOL, this is a wonder drug, but you cant take it as it blows out the kidneys, amazing stuff better than a pain killer anyday !!!

The pain you are feeling is nerve pain. I had a vasectomy 2 years ago and have suffered the pain described from the right testicle and travelling to right abdomen and hip and also lower back. Unfortunately there is no medical cure for this as this is a syndrome. A simple course of nerve block can be injected into the area that is causing the pain and this will give pain relief speak to your GP regarding this. Hope it works out for you.

oh my God I thought I was only one that have this problem. I have had the same exact pain for 20 years it never gets better it just gets worse and worse I have the exact same symptoms as you except for now my rectum has swollen just the right side I'm not gay I'm straight. The pain is so bad sometimes that I'm holding my breath but it hurts so much. I give up on the doctors a while back after I had hernia surgery which was guaranteed to make the pain go away but it never did it just got worse and worse honestly there is no hope I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one that has this pain.

I didn't finish. 3 days ago I went to the er because the pain was unberable and it shot to my left side of my wasteline andfor the first time I got nausea and a fever of 101.4 th Dr.did a cat scan and said I had divercutitus. After so many years of pain I wonder if my right side pain caused this. Also for the first time I had intense pain in my bladder area during urination.

20 years. I think the divercutitus is a different issue. I have a phobea of doctors and needles. I know I sound like sissy but it's the truth. About 8 years ago is when I threw the towel in and went to see a specialist. They did a ultra sound physical blood and urine test. No trouble found. He refered me 20 hernia specialist who said I had an inguinal hernia and did surgery it didn't help it's gotten worse and worse. I told the surgeon pain is still present he did a mri and told me that the hernia has been fixed and there's nothing else you can do. I been taking Aleve and it works periodically but don't always help. I'm in pain now and feel nausea. Oh god this sucks.

Had the same exact pains for over two years. Still get them if I forget to take my Flomax. Rapiflo also worked but was expensive. These drugs relax the plumping down there and have worked wonders for me. The pain I was having was excruciating. No doctors were helping me. They were under the impression I was trying to get pain meds because all of their tests would come back negative. Most hopeless feeling. Try it. Got nothing to lose.

How bad is the pain? They did a ct and said I have nerve damage by my lower spine..

I'm alcohol free. I drink Iced tea and water. My pcp started me on Metformin. Shortly after taking this c**p. Is when I started experiencing the pain. I have had spine trauma and urethra trauma. During surgery on my spine several years ago. Somebody stepped on the tube to the urine bag. Thus, pulling it thru my urethra and tearing it for a few inches. Most men should be biting there teeth. How is this possible? I tend to think it is the bladder or a vertebra. I have 9 back operations. R testes, R lower back, R. groin, R hip. Painful to walk and sit up. I have already had my share of hell. I don't want to go to the Dr. again of fear of what they might want to squeeze, twist, pull or put there finger. One 1 hand. My stomach has been a wreck from stress, worry and tapering off of Benzo. Never missed used. Taken as prescribed. For whatever reason? Dr. doesn't have any answers other to say he is his patients off of the medications. I feel like my whole body is under massive amounts of pressure and pain. Any suggestions or answers? Please forward commits.

Thank you for taking the time to write on this post. Ive had the exact same issues/pain going on for a couple of weeks now and it has become unbearable. I also went to the ER and everything checked out ok also no kidney stones. But now I have odd numbness in my upper leg inner thigh region.
Could you share that orthopedic's name and where he's located. I am in NYC.
Thanks again!
