Could anyone have an infected tooth?? Infectiion will spread into your head.  And also could get an MRI on the Sinuses only. Hope it helps.

Hello everyone, I've read all these posts and I sympathize and empathize with everyone as I am experiencing all of the exact same symptoms as all of you and have been down the same route as all of you.  I also have had spontaneous nose bleeds from the left nostril which started three years ago, and ended up having a vein cauterized to stop them.  When it all started 5 years ago I thought it was a stroke, and it scared the you-know-what out of me.  I know have a very jumpy nerve under my left eye that twitches very badly when one of the mid-night attacks of pain is going to happen the night before.  One of the things I have noticed is that for me, anyway, the pain attacks are clearly related with my monthly cycle.  Maybe some of the ladies out there have noticed that relationship also???  In any event, whether or not it is hormonally related I have been diagnosed with Ocular Migraines and have found a great deal of comfort in reading the material from Migraine.com which explains so much of what is happening with a description of all the symptoms including the body pain, tingling, vascular restriction, jumping nerves, gastric disruption and upset and even the hormonal link to serotonin which makes these attacks look like panic attacks.  I figure that if there serotonin is involved there must be links to other hormones too, hence the monthly increases and decreases in my attacks.  I hope this info helps others because it has truly helped me, if only to find out the "why", it has helped me to cope a little better with the symptoms, and where to go to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.  God bless.

Wow, this is amazing. About 3 months ago I started taking prozac for anxiety/depression. That is when I first started noticing this pain in the left top park of my head pretty much in the center of the left top side. It came on with no warning, sharp, intense, severe pain, and happened about 10x a day. I would be walking through a store and it would happen, I'd have to stop, and grab my head and keep from yelling out in pain. It has been by far the worst pain Ive ever experienced. After about a month the pain stopped. I have recently stopped taking the medication, and for the last 3 days the same pain, in the same exact spot has returned. I'm at work now, and this pain has been coming and going every 10 minutes, and lasting for just about 5 seconds each time. It feels like my head it being stabbed, and ripped apart...kind of hard to imagine that nothing is wrong when you are having pain so intense....I just got insurance, and they found a tumor in my right ovary, and now this on top of it...sounds like I have a lot to look forward to right now.!!!

After feeling better after a week with a mild cold and lots of sneezing, I went into the garden and did a lot of bending and pulling of winter-damaged foliage.  This morning I awoke with a very sensitive spot on the top left side of my head.  It tends to twinge, if that makes sense.  If I swallow a certain way it will cause a fleeting pain in my head.  At times it just happens out-of-the-blue.  And there are times when that part of my head feels a bit numb.  I am wondering if there is a connection between my cold with lots of sneezing and bending my neck during my garden work?  Am thinking it is a nerve problem......it seems as if many on this topic have experienced something similar...however, it's only my first day.  Hopefully, it will go away.....time will tell.

Low dose aspirin solved this for me. Specifically Bayer cherry flavored, 81mg tablets, and I take between 4 - 6 tablets.

I've had the same feeling too and my doctor said it was stress. So I helped myself to fix the problem and found out that prayers are needed first and foremost and that taking 500mg magnesium everyday helps. Hope it helps everyone.

Just wondering if cell phones could have anything to do with this pain originating just above the left ear?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is experiencing this. At first, I was a little worried, but now I know that there are people who feel the same way as I do and understand my feelings too. I too hope that a good doctor can read your post soon and reply on how to kill this pain. I'm still nervous right now though because I think I'm too young to experience such things. :'(

Hi, kindly let me know if you were able to sort out your complain. I myself I'm very worried as I have the same condition as you mention. My left side of brain feels as though someone gave me a hard blow, it is very sensitive to the touch. My throat also burns and I get very irritable often.
