I have had these too!!! When you turn your head too quick, feels like lightning runs through your head and then that warm tingling pain lingers for a little while. It is so scary!!!. It must be a nerve pinch.

It sounds like issues with the trigeminal nerves. There is a thing called "Trigeminal Neuralgia", which I have and all of these pains/symptoms sound very similar to mine. The "tri" means there are 3 nerves in this "bundle"...V1, V2, and V3. V1 goes to your forehead, V2 to the upper part of your teeth, and V3 goes down your jaw and the the bottom section of your face. Please note I'm not a doctor, just someone who is trying to put this into easy and understandable images for you. Google it and you will see the images of where the nerves go.

I had a brain tumor on my left side, which damaged the V2 and V3. I had a craniotomy to remove the tumor, which took most of this pain away. My tumor was not benign, so I had to go through radiation. About two years after the radiation the pain came back, but way worse. The MRI's had consistently showed that their was extreme scar tissue in this area, so there you it was again UGH!

Choices are shots, medications, and surgery. I am not getting another surgery, so that is out of the question. I tried the pain meds for a week and they altered me to the point that I would rather live in pain than to feel like I'm not in control of my body. I have tried accupuncture and other holistic approaches and they do not help. Mine is so bad that I cannot bend over (think gardening and looking for that lost sock under your bed). I can't go face down any more when I get a massage. Even to change elevations from standing to laying down triggers it.

As mentioned, the pain is severe and intense (sometimes my left eye waters it is so bad and I cannot speak), but I just stop and wait for it to go away. Sometimes it is 30 seconds and sometimes it is a few minutes. Anyone who had not had this pain would think that is no big deal, but when you have felt this pain, 2 or 3 minutes is an eternity.

Wish I could be more help, but just know I feel your pain (yes, pun intended).
