This could be very serious I would see a specialist if It gets to the point to where you cant function normally. And you are doing nothing when all the sudden it feels like your heart flops in your chest and then randomly spasms especially if your not an active person. If you cant run or exercise then you could be really at risk I had these symptoms and now im on beta blockers for a rare heart conditon that can lead to Congestive heart failure. And I m 23 male. SEE A DOCTOR NOT AN ER THEY WILL ALWAYS TELL YOU "{ [A N X I E T Y ]} " becuase they dont care about some one coming in with palpitations and and anxiety symptoms Once they determine your not having a heart attack.
YOUR outa here!! and boom sometimes a stupid anxiety perscription and most times Not.

(ER DOCS)=heres Your discharge papers and stop worrying! that will be 600 dollars and you can pay up front 300 today and it will reduce your bill by 15% In other words thanks for coming in but your not dieing so SEE YA!

The ER is for people who are facing a life and death situation its much cheaper to go to a 24/7 clinic guys its not worth going to the ER
and paying 600 dollars to be misdiagnosed because of the rush the doctors are in. Its worth scheduling an appointment and waiting to see someone who gets paid to take the time to tell you the truth. so even without insurance its 60-140$ for a PROFESSIONAL DIAGNOSES Dont clogg up the ER guys. Im sorry but its the truth if your not dieing BYE BYE.

This is a good topic. I too, was sent to the ER twice because of this. They said it was just depression or maybe stressed, had a psychologist check up on me. Symptoms are nausea, sudden palpitations, difficulty of breathing, sudden nervousness, and I get tired easily. Is there any doctor's diagnosis for this?

I've had a lot of similar issues... It's strongest in the evenings, and often have lighter symptoms in the morning, but it can happen anytime. Shortness of breathing, tight chest, numb arms and sometimes legs, palpatations, and shivering, lightheaded, faint feeling, sweating, etc. A month ago I ended up in an ambulance and they found my blood sugar was 56. My blood sugar test have been normal when I've tested them, and I have no know blood sugar issues. I've had off and on symptoms my whole life, but reciently I have had more and more, and stronger symptoms.

In addition, I have had stomach issues most my life as well. I throw up easily, heartburn off and on (rarely) espeically with alcohol or spicy foods. When exercising my indurance is low, and it takes my body 4-5 days to recover instead of the typical 2-3 days. I find my body is very sensitive to dehydration, and always need water around.

ECG normal, blood test normal, stress test normal, heart monitor show palpatations... I'm now seeing and Endocrinolgist so we'll see if he can find anything.

The biggest problem I have with all this is not wanting to be alone, because when I get symptoms I feel I may need hellp and I don't want to be stuck. This is mainly when running, biking, snowboarding, or any outdoors sports. I do what I can, but I always feel limited.

I'm probably missing other information and details. I have been trying to find links to what causes these issues, and nothing holds up when tested. Electrolites, salt, hydration, food, sugar, rest, stress, ... you think of it I've probably tried it. Like others on this list, I feel people just don't understand or don't believe me. I can't blame them, how can one person have so many weird issues. We know we do. If I find anything in my tests I'll post them.

Shalom dear Handmaiden of Yahweh. And so am I. PTL. I know what you are going through. I have similar problems, some even more severe. Next Tuesday they will insert a loop recorder into my chest to track the cause of the palpitation. The other senareo is the fear which tries to paralise you. My dear friend and Sister in Messiah, I will pray that the Lord will heal you by his mighty power. All these afflictions are NOT from him. He has a better life for us. Be strong in the Power of HIS MIGHT.

I am yours lovingly in Him Sis. Irenet. Ps. 69:14-17

Same here i had to go to A&E yesterday morn cos the night before i had serious heart palpitations, felt like a heart attack and felt like i was going to pass out any minute had my phone next to me ready to ring an ambulance. When i went to the hospital my heart was still kinda beating fast they did all sorts of heartgrams and linked me up to a heart monitor but they said everything seemed normal, so going to the doctors to get my blood tested hopefll my doctor will let me have it done. I suspect its anaemia or anxiety.

Could hyperthyroidism be the answer?I am having similar symptoms too and will try eating dill everyday to see if it helps. (my grandma and some aunts had hyperthyr. and couple of months ago my lab values showed that my throid was a bit overworking (but then new tests showed it was nrmal but i was deficient in calcium.Recently i have read about how refined sugar steals the calcium and other nutrients of the body and weakens the immune systems etc. to get metabolized, so I tried to eliminate sugar (white/refined otherwise i continued using maple syrup, molasses etc.) I started to feel much better and i even think my dust mite allergies got better.Aanyways, for the past couple of days i am having these palpitations, some nausia etc., I will try eating dill as it apparently heals hperthyroid probs.

I had the same exact problem and went to the ER. My Interist and Cardiologist didn't know what was wrong, all test came back fine. Thank god for my GYN because she figured it out right away. Hormone difficiantcy. Even though I am still having cycles my hormones were way down. Started HRT and felt better right away and have been fine for over a year now.

Could also be permimenopause or menopause. I am havnig all these same symptoms, especially on awakening (I hate the nights now and I hate to go to sleep cuz I'm afraid of how bad I feel when I wake up). The only way to avoid it is to sit up in a chair nad just dose a little; If i get into deep sleep, when I wake up I feel like I'm dying. Don't have huge chest pains but my heart races and I am confused and nauseous...could be thyroid...these are teh two main things that I am considering now after having so many tests. Hormones drop or something in the morning, and so do thyriod levels as far as I know...don't know what else to do. I feel at the end of my rope...and the doctors all say it's anxiety or now I'm being checked for mitral fibrillation, but I don't want to have any heart problems...sick of this...confused annoyed and afraid...good luck with yours, hope you find a resolution, but becase of your age, if you're a woman, you should be also looking into hormone issuesl

It's so comforting to know that someone else is going thru this.
I have always felt like I had something terribly wrong and they just haven't found it or maybe I am going crazy.
What I don't understand is, if so many women have the same symptoms
then why can't they find out what causes it or how to treat it. I would love to know how others deal with work and everyday living and this condition.
It dictates every area of my life.
Love to chat with anyone.
It sure helps to talk with others.

:?

I have been going thru the same symptoms for just over 8 years now, in the begining when it started i was 15 and they said i was just looking for attention when tests came back negative and for a while i stopped telling anyone when it was happening until i collapsed 4 yrs later when i was 19 and rushed to the emerg. i spent 5 days in the hospital going thru test after test and all they said was it looked like a heart murmer and anziety and i should take it easy for a while. My symptoms have been getting much worse since then now im 23 and have over the past 6 months been feeling heavyness/pushing on my chest, diff. breathing, panic, dizziness, light headedness, pain, numbness and tingeling in my left arm. I have appts. with cardio dr. next month to see whats going on and a stress test the following month.

It's eerie how much this sounds like me. When I was 15, I had the same thing. They diagnosed it as pericarditis. Hospitalized for 5 or 6 days and when I was released, they told me I needed to take it easy. No info on how or why this happened. They more or less told me to chalk it up to anxiety or teenage angst. Why else would a 15 year old have these symptoms. When I was 25 it came back again. Chest tightness, heart palpitations, etc. Hospitalized for only 4 days. No official diagnosis that time, so they just called it pericarditis in order to have something to call my condition. Now I have it again. I'm now 28 and it's far worse than it's ever been before. Tightness in my chest, racing heart (between 108-144 resting) light headedness, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue and dry hacking cough. I can barely get out of bed, taking a shower is my extreme workout now because doing even the simplest of tasks is enough to make me ready to pass out. So far no one has found anything, even though lung and heart problems run in my immediate family. Cardiologist appt on this monday the 9th. See what he has to say. My neighbor also told me to see a pulmonologist since she experienced similar symptoms. My biggest fear is that they'll too easily dismiss it as nothing more than anxiety. I know my body, I know the difference! How was it for you? Did they manage to find anything? Did you get a diagnosis?

I have done a bit of reading about these symptoms, too, since I suffer from them, and I have noticed that mainly women have these symptoms. I do have anemia and have struggled with anxiety for a while. It's hard to tell what came first, though--the health issues or the anxiety since they feed each other understandably. Thyroid could also be connected to this/hormonal health. I am trying to deal with it currently by going to a counselor for help relaxing and also trying to change my diet--just trying to have some control over it. I understand what you mean about it dictating life, though. Sometimes I worry when I make plans since I have felt pretty bad on days when I had important plans and it was rough! It also is hard to let people know it is a real thing if I don't have a name for it... Take care

Stress sounds like the culprit. When you start to feel it coming on lay on your back and relax. Close your eyes, get a cool wash cloth put it on your forehead, and breathe. Concentrate on your breathing and then count to 20. Tell yourself everything will be okay and think of something or someone that makes you happy. I've had a horrific battle with anxiety over the past year but when you put these symptoms all together and actually gain a better knowledge of anxiety and or stress, it helps ease the complete manic stage of terror that sends you to the ER. Just know you will be alright and research more about stress and anxiety.
