It seems that today, all attention is centered on people in immediate life threatening situation. All other are simply ignored. What about patients with chronic obstructive Airways disease? My husband has been suffering from it from last two years, and his addiction to nicotine cost him his health. How serious this illness actually is? Is there an effective treatment?
Well, the most important thing for him is to stop smoking. I know that it could be difficult, I suppose he has been a passionate smoker for years, but this is the best option for him. Eliminating the factor that brought him in this situation in the first place is the best possible therapy. He could also start with some exercises so that the lung function could be kept at the highest level. He will probably be prescribed with some antibiotics for acute attacks of hi s condition.
