Hi. 30 years old and have a problem with impotence. Naturally, I tried out any product available on the market, started with some pills, all the way to herbal products. But know simply don`t know what to do to solve the problem. Anyway, I heard about penile implant surgery and read some stuff about it, but I was wondering to hear if anybody had any kind of a experience with that procedure? Is it safe?
Yeah, penile implant surgery is one of several treatment options for impotence (other options include meds, intraurethral inserts, etc). Haven`t got an experience from the first hand, but my friend did it and, according to what he say, the implants are working just fine. They put two implants in the penis, in your erectile chambers. You should know that there is 95% of satisfied patients. A penile implant is used when you can`t solve your problem with meds or herbs. And while having sex... the penile prosthesis makes the penis stiff and doesn`t change the feeling on the skin of the penis. But, here is the down side – if you remove the implant, you may never again have natural erections. And something about safety... Nothing is safe, you shoul know that. Penile implant could result in infection, mechanical failure or a scar tissue formation.
My urologist started me on Prostaglandin about 8 years ago. It comes in one CC bottles and you must inject it into the penis. The result is a rock hard erection which last 20 minutes or more. The injection is done with a 1 CC diabetes syringe with a needle so small you hardly see it. There is only a pin prick (pardon the pun) sensation but the result takes only 5 minutes. You can do it in the bathroom and nothing shows until the effect starts to happen. Manual stimulation by your partner makes it even better. The only down side is the cost which may be covered by your drug plan. Go to a urology clinic and get some advice. This is a simple method that has no side effects (no headaches, flushing, etc.). Your women cannot tell if she doesn't see the injection. Mine does and doesn't care.
I had the Mentor Titan 3-Piece implant put in a year ago last December, and it was the best decision I ever made! It has completely restored the quality of life for me. I have used a ErecAid Pump for a number of years, which worked to get a good, solid erection but it eliminated almost all the feeling. With the implant I regained the ability to have spontaneous sex, and it restored all the feeling. I'm glad I got the implant done, but wish I had not waited so long.
I am 83 and have had a penile implant for 20 years (due to cancer) it has stopped inflating. Is it repairable?
