I have this problem too , and if your penis burns after urinating you should drink a lot of water , it works for me , hope this helps you guys .

i have the same problem, when i pee right before it last i feel a little burning in my penis and i have enlarge lymph node in my groin.   this started happening right after i finish having unprotected sex with my girlfriend, i went to the doctor she did urine test, the doc told me that my urine wasn't that bad the doc took a blood simple to check for any other infection im current waiting for the result. she prescribe antibiotic to took it just after two days i notice that the pain was gone, but still have the enlarge lymph node in my groin. now im really worry about what the blood test result could be. 

Yes, I have already wrote it before sometime. I have had this problem and consult so many doctors nobodies treatment have been worked out...! but I have experienced the same problem, I drank normal water of 6 glasses. After few minutes I feel good.

To all that might think its an STD related issue and have tested negative for the usual suspects.(i.e. - Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, etc). There are strains of bacterias called Mycoplasmas and Ureaplasmas that cause various infections in humans. Some are sexually transmitted and lead to symptoms very much like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Unfortunately, most (if not all) std clinics don't test for these and many have never even heard of them to be honest! Kinda pathetic if you ask me but whatever. You need to go a doctor(urologist preferably)and have them test specifically for mycoplasma genitalium and ureaplasma urealyticum. They're both very common yet they continue to routinely go untested for in the USA.(the UK seems to be on track though from what i read) There's tons of information on the web so start searching for it so you know what you might be up against. The good thing is that they're treatable with antibiotics (doxycycline and azithromycin)but can still be a real pain to eradicate due to resistant strains. However, there seems to be one antibiotic thats just about 100% effective in killing the Mycoplasma and thats moxifloxacin. This medication does come with some serious side effects and dangers in its own. Anyway, i hope this tidbit of info can help and good luck to all! 

Hey thanks a lot for posting u seem to know a lot about this and not one doctor ive been to whether general prac or urologist knows what the problem is.. Ive taken doxy and azithromycin but only seperate never together.. Should i take em together or just try moxfloxacin? Please any more info u have would greatly be appreciated.. I've had this problem for about 3 months now with absolutely no help..

I had only learned of the Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma through my own extensive web research after testing negative for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. I noticed my symptoms(discharge,testicle pain, urethral discomfort) within 3-5 days after having unprotected sex with this woman i had been talking to for several months. Heres the kicker...she recently had a routine STD screening and it all came back negative.(of course they didnt test her for Myco/Ureaplasma) She then went to get tested for mycoplasma after i had informed her of my findings. ill get to the point here....i took a week of doxycycline i had gotten from my general care doctor...didnt work. . I then had seen my urologist and they checked my urine for infections and had told me everything looked perfectly clean and that my testicle pain was most likely strain from working out at the gym. A week later, the woman i had sex with had gotten her results back from her latest STD test. Sure enough, she tested positive for Mycoplasma Genitalium. I called my urologist and she prescribed me 2 more weeks of the Doxy. I thought that might have worked but i still had testicle discomfort. Maybe 2 weeks after the second course of doxy, my symptoms started coming back. I then took a 1 gram dose of azithromycin. That seemed to have worked at first but maybe like 5 days after i noticed symptoms again. Im now going to get tested myself at my urologist next week for mycoplasma. Heres the problem...i dont have medical insurance and ive already spent over $700 in medical bills by this point and next weeks test is $370 not including the $200-$300 office visit. I pray the test will show exactly what the strain is and how best to treat it. I really really really hope its just an extended course of Zpack and not the moxifloxacin. I highly suggest you get tested for Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma and even trichomoniasis before you take anymore antibiotics. The Moxi should be taken as a last ditch effort due to the possible extreme and harsh side effects. (u might wanna look them up) Moxifloxacin belongs to a group of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones and are no joke and can do some serious damage to your body! Im trying to remain hopeful in all this but i must say, i'm at my wits end with this. Its been close to 3 months for me too so i feel your pain/stress. Oh wow we have exactly the same sh*t going on from the symptoms to time frame to medications prescribed.. Everything sounds exactly the same! Sorry it took so long for me to get back on here, it doesn't tell me when I get an email back because I'm not a member.. I know it's 4 days later now and hopefully uve found out what ur problem is and can get it resolved ASAP.. I fortunately do have health insurance that I almost passed up on because it's so much money.. All these doctors have no idea what the problem is just like with you... I took doxy 2wice azithro one dose even ery-tab for another week and all the same as u I mean its crazy how it's exactly the same! I wish.. Is there any other way we can communicate to help each other out? I'm actually taking my problem to UM cuz supposedly those drs are the best but my apt isn't scheduled until later in the month :/ if you don't find out what your problem is before mine (which we probably have the same issue) I would be glad to let you know my progress so hopefully we can get this problem solved together.

This is all pretty crazy! I have my urologist appointment on Wednesday this week. Ill let you know as soon as i hear anything and what they've tested for exactly and how they did it. Ok I joined but don't really know how to work this site.. I saw another urologist today and he's stumped as well which brings the count to 4 urologists that have no idea but from my findings online a full 5 day course of azithromycin is what relieved this problem 95% of the time if it is indeed the myco or w/e it is u said in the previous messages. So I'm going to start taking that tomorrow with the hope it gets me better.. I believe you had the same results I did with one dose (we thought it worked but then the symptoms came back) hopefully taking that for the full time will clear it up, I'll let you know how that goes. What did the girl you was talking to end up taking to get rid of her problem? Good luck on ur urologist visit too. I'm gonna go get a urethal swab tomorrow and when I get those results I'll let you know about that as well. And let's try and keep in contact as much as we can cause 2 heads trying to figure this out is def better than 1.

Im still doing the same...pretty much. I had my urology appointment this past Wednesday. They did a swab test for Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma as well as a urinalysis to be sent out. I was told the results would be back within a week to three. (those strains are apparently difficult to culture). The swab was pretty painful to say the least. The doctor told me to drink lots of water to help alleviate the pain.(i must have drank 8, 16.9oz bottles of water after my visit). Im still pretty confused and upset with this whole situation to be honest. Im rather disappointed that i'm still dealing with this 3 months into it after having taken 2 cycles of Doxy and a gram of Zpack! Im a very health conscious and physically fit 35 year old. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't eat junk at all(in fact, i eat super healthy), i exercise and lift weights, play sports regularly and don't sleep around.(i planned on having a long monogamous relationship with this woman) I hardly ever get sick and if i do, i tend to fight it off within a few days naturally. Anyway Mystery007, have you noticed that the symptoms are worse somedays than others? I kinda feel i have good days and bad days. Lemme know if you have been feeling the same way. Also, lemme know what the deal is as soon as you get your results. Good luck and if i find anything else out that can help our situations, ill post it right away.

Jammer77 its crazy because we have identical situations literally identical.. I am fit play sports i don't drink or smoke don't sleep around everything u are and wrote I am it's crazy.. I had my stuff swabbed and cultured and everything u did as well on Friday and when I get the results I'll let you know too and yeah some days seems to be worse.. I am currently on 5 days of azithromycn to see if that'll do the trick since its a longer dosage and a lil bit more than the regular 1 gram dosage. What's actually crazy is you said you had sex with this woman correct? I didn't I received oral and now I'm stuck with this problem just so u know that's how I got this problem.. So I'm really confused as well. I don't think u ever told me what happened with that girl.. She end up getting cured or what happened with her?

I had this problem when I was around 10-12 years old.The problem was only there after I had just gotten out of the bath though, so I stopped bathing down there altogether. It was only 3 years later that I had taken my first shower and had to urinate real bad afterwards. So I went to urinate, and... there was no pain. It had gone away on its own.I used to "experiment" with shampoo bottles and such, and I guess some soap was blocked in my urethra causing an infection of some sort.The only thing I can't understand is that it comes and goes... The last time I felt this dreaded sensation was a few weeks ago, and it was a much longer time before that.If anybody knows anything, please let us know. We're desperate for answers.
