percocet in pregnancy

Im so sorry for your loss but thank you for helping people take the false energy into account it made me realise if im in that much pain that i need to take something that i need to relax and not have the urge to go crazy with cleaning

you need to geta life. who are YOU to judge anyone?? are your hands clean? have you never made a mistake in your life? i HIGHLY doubt that. so how about you get a life instead of going around anonomously critisizing people on the internet lol LOSER.

You need to mind your own damn business and stop judging people. Serious chronic pain is no joke and can put your baby in more danger because you are so stressed out from all the pain. That can kill your baby completely. Yes, narcotics can cause a baby to be addicted when they come out and go through withdraw, but you don't know anything about what these woman go through and if you do you should try to think a little bit about the facts and not trash other people you know nothing about. Chronic pain is no joke, and when a doctor is telling you that it is better for you to take one or two percocets a day and try to control your severe pain because it's better for your baby then being in agony, we are gonna listen to our doctors. They went to medical school and they wouldn't perscribe us something that would have a high risk of killing our childen. If your not going to give a helpful comment just stay off the chat lines. Pregnant woman have enough concerns and worry as it is, they don't need someone like you bashing them for no reason. Everyone has thier own beliefs, and if you arn't going to contribute to helping mind your own damn business.

I'm am currently 9 months pregnant and schedueled to be induced next week. My hips displace while I am pregnant and I have taken percocet for the majority of my pregnancy. I currently stopped 2 days ago just to make sure that my child will not have any withdrawal sysptoms post birth. My last pregnancy I continued taking the percocet until delivery. My son had no signs of withdrawal and is now a perfectly heathly 3 year old. That fear wasn't even a factor last pregnancy. My doctor did show more concern with this pregnancy, but that just seems to be because of the negetitive press due to pill mills and such. I am kind of to the point that I believe that it may be safer for me to continue taking the drugs until I give birth because of the amount of pain I am in now. I am not having any real withdrawal sysptoms that I have heard about...but I am having contractions and I am not sure if that is due to the stress of the pain that I am now in. My doctor does did not ask me to quit taking the meds, that way my choice. Just keep in mind that if you are going to use a narcotic pain killer while pregnant to do so under a doctors supervision. They will not give you a dose that would hurt your child. The real problem is the fact that these pills are easy to abuse. You must always take as perscribed....its very easy to take more than recommended because it does take the pain away. These pills are meant to lessen the pain. Not take it away.

I honestly feel that if your on Percocet while your pregnant that u should try and get help so you won't harm yourself or your baby,... If your in pain or just like taking them to get high go ahead and do wat u want but not while your pregnant ,....

Would ask other docs if i were you. I lost my pregnancy when it was prescribed to me. I kept taking the pills for about two weeks. Even when i said the pain was still there they kept prescribing percoset. It was another doc from my Country who came to my room and told me that it is actually harming the baby. She said some docs will not tell you this. I ended up loosing the pregnancy before my six month

I have a ruptured disc along with a pinches sciatic nerve i was on muscle relaxers steriods and norcos i found out i was pregnant went to the hospital to see if i could still take my medication because i did not have a doctor at the time the hospital was my doctor and the doctor said muscle relaxers and steriods no, but norco with you being only 6 weeks one at night once in awhile so you can sleep will be fine....so here i am in my second trimester 21 weeks along i cant sleep i can barely get out of bed in the morning i cant barely walk my back has shootin pains also through my hip down my butt and down the back of my leg i explained to my mid wives now about this and i have a 3 year old son i have to care for im so exhausted from no sleep at night because the constant waking up due to pain i had to quite my job because i cant simply do it my mid wive said we do not prescribe thoughs in pregnancy i said but the hospital told me i could have them in my second trimester they are refusing to give me even anything besides norco that will try to help im so fustrated because i have one doctor telling me one thing and the other doctor telling me another and i know a couple people that are prescribed norco and are pregnant so why wont my doctor prescribe me any?...i need to go back to work to provide i am a single mother doing it all alone...should i switch doctors??..i have documents on my back with my back problem thats thick. and the mid wives just dont care

I to have degenerative disc disease I am 6 weeks pregnant and prescribed percocet for pain am I in dangering my unborn baby? I was prescribed this medication long before I ever become pregnant. I have had two major surgeries on my back and I have severe nerve damage in my leg it's the only way I can maintain the pain..

I just found out that I am five weeks preg and I've been on opiates muscle relaxers anxiety meds for the past three years due to surgery. I don't kno if I am keeping this baby because he or she may have problems due to my dirty system. Anyone ever been through this help me plz

My friend has just found out that she is pregnant and is really worried as she had no idea. She went out last week and took cocaine, drank and she smokes. Will this affect the baby?
