Persistent Tapping or clicking inside Right Ear

some may find your comment crazy, but I agree with u 100%. the humming and ringing I used to have a lot more regularly has turned into tapping and white noise. it is part of a psychic gift I have been ignoring all my life, but now on the path to accepting and enhancing them. these symptoms are part of clairaudience.

like many here, I also have this rapid 'morse code'-like thumping in my flight ear. It's muffled and feels a bit like a twitch. The strange thing is that it stops when I move any muscle, even just moving my finger or tensing my abdominals stops it. Once I relax it immediately begins again. it sometimes stops when I put my finger in the other ear. It's been going on for three days 

My best guess that if this tapping your hearing the the muscles of your soft palate or tympanic chamber twitching. It could also be a eustachian tube problem. However, it the tapping is continous I would got to an ENT.

It could be something as simple as a small hair that got dislodged when you cut your ear hair and it dropped into the canal.  When you move your jaw in a certain way, it brings it into contact with the ear drum.  Have a doctor look into your ear canal and they may see it and be able to wash it out our remove it gently with tweezers or something similar.  This happened to me years ago.

I have just started morse code in my left ear. Due to see the doc for the first time this a.m. but am not holding my breath having read the comments. However I find an ear plug useful at night as this reduces noise. This may help anyone lying awake

It may be a small neck muscle spasming over a nerve, explaining the 'Morse Code' pattern. I have the same thing and is what has made the most sense to me so far. May try increasing Potassium intake and getting a neck massage to release some tension.

I have the same thing. It started 3 days ago. Had my husband outside the house looking for something tapping or dripping. It sounds like a single metal tap every 40 seconds (i've actually timed it) I looked to see if my neighbor was working on his car. It has been driving me crazy trying to find the source. Wakes me out of my sleep. Today I realized it is coming from my right ear! If anyone knows the cause or name of this syndrome or a remedy please reply. Thank you!

I also have that irritating and persistent clicking in only my right ear, and only when resting, relaxing, trying to sleep, have had it since about January and now it is June. It's not all the time, intermittent. I have not taken prescriptions or had ear problems, but have had a chronic sinus infection (mostly left side) since May 2004. Sound like a bug tap dancing in my ear.

I just took a shower, washed my hair/face/ears, and when I rinsed my right ear i hear "urgent tapping." I think there's a roach or spider in my ear drowning, and it scares me. I know roaches can't back up, so when they go in ears they just eat and stay stuck. as gross as this sound, i'm a go drown that SOB right now. #sobbingtomyself...

I have only just started fairly recently with this same (right ear) annoying clicking sound too & it only starts to do it whenever I sit down to relax or when I'm in bed trying to sleep? It's really weird how it only starts up tho when I'm in a relaxed state! Hope it goes away soon cos it's very, very annoying! :(

I'm trying to figure out why this annoying morse code clicking is happening in my right ear...I had dental work on that side and wonder if thats when this clicking started...Now reading your post, sounds like it could be...did u ever find a solution?

SAME! SAME! SAME! Started this morning. I worked til 4am and only got 4 hours sleep. Haven't been sick or on any meds other than Vyvanse for ADD. I have seen no remedy online. I am a spiritual person who has been getting much closer to God and bringing Him glory so I feel it may be an attack of spiritual warfare. I am relying on James 1:2-4 to get through this. My prayers go out to all of you that are suffering from this and look forward to hearing (pardon the pun) about a remedy.
