Also went through this for 6 months... lost 60 lbs. I had ulcers, although I couldn't get an endoscopy for 6 months after those 6 months of hell, the doctors said that was what I had.  I was practically bed-ridden, reeling. 200 calories a day if I could keep it down... throwing up made me panic, panic made me throw up...it was a horrible cycle. I was in a constant state of anxiety. Several panic attacks everyday. Thought I was going crazy. Severe brain fog- could not think or remember almost anything. This is MY personal experience... Really bland diets like toast, banana, simple broths, white rice, oatmeal. No dairy( although yogurt is okay... eventually). Fresh CABBAGE JUICE  30 oz for ten days! I divided it into 10 oz 3x's a day. I would alternate between green cabbage and red cabbage. A small study was done that was really successful. Any longer may raise blood sugar. It is alkaline and has lots of nutrients that my body needed to heal. MEDITATION! Mindfulness, dealing with pain, loving kindness meditations worked for me. Meditate 3 times for 10-15 min daily. I know it sounds cliché, but SELF-CARE. Being patient with myself, compassion, understanding. The supplement l-glutamine helped to make my stomach  less sensitive - I still take it in the morning on an empty stomache. Nature walks/ meditations, when started feeling a bit better I started to eat lots of different greens, broccoli sprouts help with h. Pilori, fiber, berries, yogurt, smoothies, soups, healthy and non-processed(or very minimally processed) no sugar( some very little honey is okay), less salt, only lean meats like chicken breast and white fish without skin, no oil/ very little oil, whole grains, nuts, legumes, Ezekiel bread, of course no acids. Aloe Vera juice straight from the plant can help, but be very careful not to eat the bottom white part of the plant, it is poisonous and it WILL make you sick. Took it in the morning on an empty stomach. I cut about 2-3 inches of plant scraped the inside gel and blended with some water. After an hour I would eat breakfast smoothies with soy milk and bananas.

the doctors I saw didn't help... if anything, the last one I saw prescribed medicine that made me even worse. I did my own research(when I could) I didn't have much faith, but I had nothing to lose... I also started to see a therapist once I started to feel a little better. All these things helped me. I am safe, I am protected... just breathe.  This health condition was another trauma in my life. The gut and the mind are connected through the Vagus nerve. "Therapy in a nutshell" and Sukie Baxter videos on YouTube helped me. Gabor mate helped me understand the relationship between illness and stress/ trauma...

i saw someone post homeopathy helped... 100% agree!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience—what you went through sounds incredibly intense and challenging. It takes a lot of strength to endure six months of that kind of pain and anxiety, and even more to find a path toward healing.

I think what stands out most is how holistic your approach was: combining nutrition, supplements, meditation, and self-care. The cabbage juice tip is really interesting—I’ve heard about its benefits for ulcers, and it’s inspiring that it helped you. Meditation and mindfulness are often underrated in dealing with chronic illness, and it’s great to hear they made a real difference for you.

Your story is a powerful reminder that healing is not just physical but also mental and emotional. Thank you for being open about it—it will definitely encourage and guide others going through similar struggles.
