I too have a 12 mm pineal cyst which is I feel the cause of all my symptoms exactly what you're dealing with....
and was not a accidental finding on my MRI. Doctors don't listen.
My pineal cyst is 12mm. I too am experiencing weight gain, which is strange for me since I eat healthy and am very active. Somewhat comforting to know someone else is going through the same thing. Thanks for sharing!
I am a 19 year old female and I had an incidental pineal cyst found that measures 13mm I have been experiencing daily headaches , vision problems , weight gain , and even now speech problems plus a range of other symptoms. I feel like a I'm trapped in a 90 year olds body it gets that bad , and doctors say none of it is to do with the cyst , the good thing is when I next have a MRI if it has grown they said they will intervene which is good I suppose even though they don't think its affecting me , but its just waiting around trying to get through everyday with these horrible symptoms. I feel for the people who have doctors who won't do a thing and look at them as if they are stupid. In my opinion anything that grows inside your brain needs to come out as there isn't exactly room for it to be there in the first place hence why it causes symptoms.my question is with how much science is advancing these days how is so little known about these cysts and yet so many people worldwide have had them.
I am a 35 year old female. Don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. I have very little memory of my life prior to when i was assaulted in 1998, but over the course of my adult life, I've suffered from depression, mood swings, dizziness, loss of memory, the sensation that im falling even if im laying in bed, headaches, and the list goes on and on to be honest. I thought all of it was connected to when I was assaulted at the age of 17. Without going into to much detail, part of the assault was being kicked in the head. A few months ago, a picture fell off of the wall above a closet and hit me in the head. I went to the ER to check for a concussion and they found a pineal cyst. I never heard of this before. So I googled it and found all kinds of information. I do know that my ptsd is due to the assault and so is my physical disability. I do not doubt that a chunk of the depression and other symptoms are from that assault. However, I do find a similarity between the symptoms I have and the symptoms the rest of you are having even if you take what happened to me out of the picture. I was told they are "for the most part harmless" and "the only thing we can do is keep an eye on it and if it grows or water starts to form around it, then we'll operate. until then, we leave it alone." which sounds like what most of you all have been getting told as well.

I'm a 42 year old woman, and recently I found out that I have a 1 cm cyst. I have the same symptoms as you-- fatigue, vertigo,loss of balance and memory, some slurred speech. I'm also having difficulty with nausea and vomiting, as well as pain behind my left eye. I was told not to worry about the cyst discovered on the MRI (which we did because of the symptoms). I'm going to continue to take my medications and get a second opinion with another neurologist. You should get a second opinion, but also find a good primary care provider (if you don't have one already) who can help to advocate for you, particularly when you feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Hello! My name is Danielle and I was diagnosed with a pineal gland cyst in May of 2015. After having a multitude of symptoms ranging from head pressure to hair loss, I decided I needec this thing out. So, I did my research and found Skull Base Institute in LA. I had my cyst removed by Dr. Shahinian in August and I am in my 5th month of recovery. I so far can tell of some tiny differences, but everything is healing VERY slowly. Hi i 38 and my health has and feelings have changed a lot too i have a pineal cyst and have been told that i need to see a therapist too nothing is working i have went from being a strong independent women to. Having to depend on help and walk with a cane . I have lost strength on the left side of my body and have the symptoms of stroke. Also major migraines that never go away cant sleep well. I am easily depressed tired all the time I have trimmers that look like im having a seizure wide awake. I have problems speaking what I want to say. I have blurry vision, see double vision and streaks of light. Sound and light bother me. I have been feeling the same way all alone and no one cares. I am know looking for a neurosurgeon in the Illinois or indiana area if not im willing to go further to get relief and get better.

hi michelle what happened with you? did you ever have surgery. im going through same. mine was 6mm now 20 mm. i have awful pain. numbness and tingling. my teeth are so sensitive. its a living nightmare
