Hi, I'm 17 years old and I have always had irregular periods. Lately I have noticed a strange pinkish discharge coming out of my vagina just before the period, and a couple of days after it. I'm also feeling a little bit of itching just before that discharge appears, and the itch, although it is not intolerable lasts during the whole time while that discharge is coming out. What could this be? Is it anything to be worried about, does this mean that I'm pregnant?
You didn’t give me any detailed information about your physical condition so it is impossible to give you an exact diagnosis so I'm going to try to give you as detailed explanation for this as possible. Pinkish discharge from vagina is not unusual in girls your age, in healthy and normal women it can be a sign of ovulation but in most women that doesn’t happen, they have no discharge at all. In young women like yourself it is possible that this is a consequence of irregular periods, if your periods are indeed irregular. Since you have mentioned that you are experiencing an itch in the vaginal area before and during the passing of that discharge it is possible that you have some kind of an infection of the urinary tract or your sex organs, vagina, or uterus. Try to keep your vulva clean, use condoms while having sex, don’t use tampons and don’t use douches. If the discharge doesn’t disappear then you should go and visit your general practitioner or your gynecologist.
i lost my virginity and since then i have notice water coming out from my vagina? could be the problem. thank you.
Hi, I'm 18 years old, and I just recently started having sex with my partner, It's only happened twice. Condoms were used both times, and I shouldn't have been ovulating either time. The day after the second time, I noticed a pinkish discharge. And whenever I used the bathroom, there is slight burning, but nothing too severe. I'm worried. What could it be?
