My brother has just been told the news - he has got polyarteritis nodosa. This is a very serious form of vasculitis and I am really worried. For my brother, and for myself. I didn't even dare to ask him if the disease is genetic, because I don't want to be selfish right now. Can you answer the question?
Don't worry too much, I don't think that polyarteritis nodosa is hereditary, though if it is there is not much you can do about it. If you do have any similar symptoms you have to go and get yourself checked out, obviously, but failing that I would concentrate on being there for your brother. Good luck!
