I am currently experiencing the same thing. Did it get better with time? I am fine most of the day but for some reason when I lay down at night it is very uncomfortable right around the belly button area.

Wow!!! I went through the same thing as you. I was finally diagnosed with Ingniual hernia. I was supposed to have my surgery in January due to hath insurance coverage. Recently my leg just numbed out and it was weak. I couldn't feel it not move it. I went to the ER. They did every possible test. It all came back negative. They told me they were going to do a laparoscopic surgery and are if I have one since the tests were negative. He also told me if I didn't that he was going to remove my appendix since he was already going in. Which he ended up doing so. According to the surgeon he did not see any hernia. They released me after four days and now I'm home having trouble breathing. Every time I breathe I have pain right above my right rib cage. I also stil get the pain in the groin along with the numbing. What do I do now?

After my appendix was taken out, I still have abdominal pain years after. The appendix was found to "reboot" the intestines with good bacteria. So, I took a good probiotic, and it helped so much, that I stopped the probiotics, and the pain came back. STAY on a good Probiotic .

Hi, The appendix " Reboots" your system with Probiotics. Find a GOOD probiotic, and STAY on it, since your appendix is gone, take a probiotic daily or more, with food. DO NOT expect immediate results, may take 2 months. Worth it !

So what happened? Did the mild pain around scars and after strenuous activity settle? I'm 39 and just had appendix removed . My op and recovery was trouble free. Now week 7 and I've started strenuous work (packing mangoes) and after. Day 3 it's starting to hurt around scars. I'm also worried about hernia!!!

I'm 52, male, had my surgery 2 weeks ago to remove appendix..I just had a follow up visit to surgeon...
my bandages are still on after laro surgery. After surgery I was put on pain killers, but I rarely used but one a day, and I find it didn't help much. I can say now the pain in the belly button area has gone, still feel achey all over the abdomen area, at times. It comes and goes. After surgery it took 3 days before I had a bowel movement. This is because of something I did right after surgery going home....I started probiotics, pumping in healthy bacteria by the billions...through a pill, or very strong probiotic drinkable yougurt...this has helped me a lot, with real good bowel movement sometimes 3 times a day, and not diahrrea...the pains in my lower abdomen are gone.. So far, I still get tired walking, but that is the key, you need to walk 3 times a day, and rest throughout....my legs feel tired, so I rest, during my walks. Walking and probiotics are helping a lot... Right now, experienced mild sometimes uncomfortable pain on my right side of abdomen. When I asked the doctor about some mild pains after surgery, he informed me that, these pains I feel will settle down after few weeks, or even months....yes, it takes time. I don't take pain meds anymore, they made me feel worse, and sleepy. Walking helped, and rest in between helps. Hope this helps.
