Hi I just had laparoscopic appendectomy not quite 2 weeks ago. I was feeling a lil better until 3 days ago I woke with severe pain in my stomach above my naval and to the left. I went to the hospital to be told. There is nothing wrong with me. It's just a coincidence I have pain not related to the surgery. They gave me stomach pills and want me to go to urologist. Saying I have a u t i. The pain is horrible so horrible I can not sit. Stand or sleep. It is constant. Stabbing burning pains. I no this is related to surgery. Anybody with any knowledge please help.

Have you figured out the problem? My husband has the exact same symptoms as you. Two weeks after his appendectomy his pain started. Now it's been 9 months.

Hello I am also 20 years old and had my appendix removed in October. I have a somewhat lump on my left side of abdomen and a knot pulling feeling.

its been over a year now and I'm still going through some pain here and there...what your feeling is scar tissue trying to heal, and it takes time. Also, because of the surgery type, I had the LAPO surgery, which is the three holes, everything inside you is moved. It takes time for things they moved inside you to find their place, and during this movement, you feel this pain.
it does improve over time, all you can do is cope with it, rest yourself, try not to lift heavey items, and try some Tylenol. Its all about time.

I went to the ER nine months ago and had my appendix removed and a bowel resection. I have felt like I have been stabbed on my left side and under my rib cage, I have had every test known, I have a small hernia and scar tissue. I am now on pain management. I want to be normal again. The pain is horrible. I started taking pro biotics, cascara sagrada, kratom for pain, cat's claw for pain, tummeric for inflamation, vitamins, minerals and eating soft foods. I also take baking soda for bloating, today is the first day I woke up without pain, I had a few stabs throughout the day but I feel I can live with it. I feel for all of the people here, the drs don't seem to want to admit there is a problem. I also had two infections and was given strong antibiotics, I also take cod liver oil and pray I am at the end of this nightmare
