My daughter admitted herself to a rehab. and completed seven days in detox for heroin use last week. She called me today to tell me she is pregnant. She is 19 years old and now I realize she may have been pregnant before she went in and didn't tell the intake counselor this. She is in California now. I live in New Jersey and cannot ask information because of the HIPA laws. I asked her therapist if they tested her for pregnancy before they began detox and she said no. Shouldn't the rehab. do this for the sake of protecting the baby? Is my daughter liable for damage to the baby if she finds out she is a few months pregnant and didn't reveal this before being detoxed? The rehab. is going to take care of medical but I'm not sure if she should come home now. My daughter is telling me much. I'm so concerned about the baby now and my daughter's health too.

Take a blood test! I took 6 pregnacy test they all were negtive untill I asked the Dr. for the bllod test
