I am 29 and never been pregnant. I plan on having children in the next 3 to 5 years. I have a large nodule (5cm) on the left side of my neck and two smaller ones on the right. The biopsy came back benign and all my blood levels are normal. However, I am slightly hyper. My endo wants me to have my entire thyroid removed. She says she has never seen one so big shrink with medication, and the other's on my right may get bigger.
Will I be able to get pregnant if I have my thyroid removed? What are some questions I should ask my endo and surgeon before committing to the surgery?
