So for the past week I've had this pressure in my throat. It is not a sore throat, I do not feel like I'm getting a cough. It almost feels as if theirs a dense piece of food stuck in my throat. I feel it every time I swallow, and every time I reposition my body from a 90 angle to any angle lower than that, its the movement that triggers the feeling. Its been making me want to burp more often, and once it triggered my gag reflex. It's a very uncomfortable feeling. I feel like I may have gotten it when my friend was driving a bit recklessly, and I had woken up from my sleep just as he was continuously hitting the brake, but quickly fell back to a sleepy conciousness. It felt like maybe a car sickness. But ever since then, ive had this feeling in my throat. The pressure seems to have grown since the first day. Has anyone had this feeling, or maybe know what I'm referring to? Maybe know a way to get rid of it.

It sounds like acid reflux or GERD. I have had it for about a month now. Never had it in my life until 31. It came out of nowhere. It feels like there is something stuck in your chest/ throat. It comes and goes. Try Zantac or Prilosec and if that doesn't work, see your Dr. to get a perscription. I've tried 2 perscriptions and nothing seems to help. I have no idea why I am just now having this issue but it is really frustrating. My Dr. said it can also be caused by anxiety or stress. Good luck.
