For the record I take probiotics I get hemorrhoids the next fricken day and being repeatable makes it scientific fact. It took me several months to figure out why, but now I know with 100% certainty.
Maybe for some people it clears them up, but for otheres it inflames the gut. For those who can't get rid of them try Butchersbroom or Rutin.

Yep, there's definitely a link. No doubt about it for me. And I take a good brand of non-dairy probiotics, Dr Mercola.
My gut feeling ;-) is that the probiotic, like anything that helps the bowels to clear, is causing rectal strain and leading to more time on the toilet, resulting in the hemorrhoid.
Or some other reason linked to detoxing. When I took some Chinese medicine in the past, the doctor had kept asking at regular intervals if hemorrhoids had appeared. That Chinese concoction was also treating health conditions through the bowel, like Ayurveda and Unani medicine do.

My gut feeling is there is a link between probiotics & h-oids flare ups. Nothing else significantly explains my current situation. Thanks for all the contributors to this thread.

There is definitely a correlation. Every time I start taking probiotics for digestive issues, I get a hem flare up within a week. And I don't eat any dairy at all. Lots of fiber aggravate my hemorrhoids too, contrary to what the doctors say.
