Sonic ice is the best. I go at least 3 times a week and buy a rt 44 cup of ice and a bag of ice. Crunch crunch and crunch some more. I'm starting to get some pain in my esophages of something i wonder if the ice is doing that?

Dear Crunchers, I bought a tabletop ice maker from Lowes that makes the best. Soft ice!

This is not helpful, but it is interesting to me, because I was extremely anemic during my first pregnancy and all I ever craved was ice, or Icee's. It really does make sense that you might be iron deficient, because as soon as I had my son I never crunched ice again.

I am not sure but yes, I also read somewhere that one who eats ice everyday has iron deficiency in the body. Hope you will get it checked and try to get rid off the deficiency with lots of spinach and green leafy vegetables in the diet.

Pica can be a symptom of iron deficiency anemia, but pica itself does not cause iron deficiency.

i m getting mad day by day...i dont know y i eat ice...i m just 16..OH GOD PLZZZ HELP ME..//:'(

Eating ice doesn't cause the deficiency. It's the other way around. It is because of the iron deficiency that you get the urges to eat ice!

there's a good chance you are anemic. you may need iron supplements. they have one called vitron C which is easiest on the stomach plus has vit c to help the body absorb the iron. call your pharmcist...some stores have to special order it. only takes a couple days. not expensive. but beware, and get checked. also you are potentially doing great damage to your teeth. ice is hard and cracks them over a short time. THAT gets costly too.
