I had the nova sure preformed the last week of January and it is now March 1st and I am still having the discharge and it has an odor like my water just broke and it is disgusting. Of course I wasn't told this either. I have not had intercourse I am too embarrassed of the odor. What is one to do when you call the doctor and they act as if it is normal and its been so long since the procedure. I wonder will my body ever return to normal. I had this procedure preformed because I am 38 years of age and I have been peri-menapausal for about a year now and I am on replacement hormones. My levels were very low but I was still having a menstrual cycle. My doctor said it was a very complex situation. So now I really am trying to figure out if I was better off the way I was before I had the surgery. If anyone has any suggestions Please enlighten me.
Well I had mine on 18th Feb and have not stopped having some kind of bleeding or loss since. I can relate to your watery discharge and odour as it does smell like your waters have just broken. I think it must be very traumatic for the uterus to be cauterized and so I think it may take some time to heal. It must go through the same stages as a grazed knee, developing a scab like surface and then shedding to heal itself. Looking at the other past entries on this subject other women have had the same problems. I guess we will just have to wait at least for several months to see if it all settles down. I do hope that it settles down for you soon. My partner is waiting patiently, as I too am too embarassed to have any sex until the bleeding and discharge stop completely. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on.
