I have been experiencing what appeared to be bruise on the tip of my toe. It has been there since mid-September and has not changed at all. At first, I ignored until I felt my toe and I realized that I have no feeling where that purple pigmentation is. I went to the nurse at my university and she thought it was just a blood blister. Would that cause one to lose feeling though? Also, does it take a blood blister about two months to go away? This spot never went away.
The toenail on that same toe also turned purple two weeks ago. I checked my circulation by pushing on my toes and that toe does not return to pink right away. The tip of my toe and my toenail have a purple/black pigmentation.
I never dropped anything on my toe and I do not remember injuring myself.
After all this time, my toe has not been better. I am concerned because I pinch the top of my toe and I don't feel anything. Can anyone tell me what may be wrong?
Thank you.

i have the same problem with my pinky toe on my right foot... same as you never hurt it at all. hope someone answers you :-)
It could be a possibility that you have an ingrowing toenail which can be serious if not treated. It would be wise to seek professional medical help. I only mention this because that was what caused my toe to have the symptoms you've described.
