This happens all the time to me too. I told my mom about it and she says she gets it too. I don't know why it happens but it's normal for me, my sister, and my mom. People at school have told me my legs are turning purple. I live in California so it's not cold that often but when it is, my legs turn purple and you can see my veins. I think it just happens because I'm pale. I've gotten used to it. I don't think it's anything bad.

It's from bad circulation

Hi im 22 and my hands always used to go purple with spots and my toes go purple - my fingers have recently started to turn shock white and numb and it takes a while of frantic dancing in front of the fire to get the circulation back - noone seems to have an answer for the purple and orange but the white fingers is renaulds. I think the purple and orange might be the teenage version thats why people dont know about it as much. Raynauds is a circulation problem that can be fixed with medication - 1 in 5 adults suffer with it from time to time so its not serious unless its the result of another problem though you probably have a higher chance of getting frost bite when you have such circulation problems so its worth checking with the doctor to see what you can do to improve it

Alright listen up, i drink soda, ALOT. I mean whenever i can get it. for years ive had the same problem as all of you. I'm skinny, i get purple skin, you can see my veins, the redish skin blotches, ive got it all. I'm going to be completely honest, i don't get much exercise and don't really go outside much. Now a couple of months ago i stopped drinking soda, and started eating healthy foods. It has stopped almost completely. All you have to do is exercise and eat right, and NO SODA.

Hey I'm 14 and I have white skin and my genes show that I'm part Scottish. This happens to me too When I am in a cold area (which is mostly all the time other than in the Summer) my skin turns purple and orange. my mom had it too and so I just think that it's genetic maybe? Ask your parent if they have had it before.

Hi I am a 13 year old white girl. My problem is quite similar to what all of what you people have Except, my hands, arms, legs, and feet turn purple in the winter; But it doesn't always turn purple just in the winter, it also turns purple in room temperature as well. In addition, when i don't get heat right away then after a while my lips turn purple, and sometimes blue. Additionally, it doesn't always just turn purple (it turns blue as well) But also turns bright red. But its only my hands and feet that turns bright red in the summer and sometimes i have to rub my hand (not feet) on something that is cold or else i feel like i am going to die of heat; so what i always do is put an ice pack on my hands and feet so that they cool down. However, less then 15 minutes the ice pack turns hot and turns into water (without any ice). This problem happened ever since i had my wart removed off of my left hands knuckle right below my pinkie ( NOT ON my pinkie); I went with my mom to the doctor, he took a look and then said it was normal. Afterwards, my mom told me that it was not normal because my grandfather is a politician and a doctor (he lives in Colombia NOT Columbia) he knows that it wasn't normal and he also knew that that (lol) wasn't anything that he ever encountered before; my mom decided to get it checked by another doctor; To which is this upcoming Friday. I DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE GOING TO DO TESTS (if its new) OR GIVE ME SHOTS

Hi I am 14 and have the same problem as well. Everyone is always asking me if I am cold! I absolutely hate it. It happens mostly in the winter but even in the summer when I am not cold at all my legs and arms turn purple. Then when I am steaming hot my legs look perfect! (except them my feet and hands turn bright red and puffy) I have asked my doctor about it and the only thing you can do to treat it is to drink lots of water, and exercise. It is extremely embarrassing and I hope some doctor figures out how to treat so I can look normal again....Btw I have also noticed the same problem when I am stressed.

Dude, I'm 13,female, live in Virginia (USA-the state temperature can be really hot or really cold), and I'm half Filipino but I have the same problem. Once I was running 3miles for gym class and my friends and coach told me that I had purple lips and hands. But I was breathing fine. I notice it often as well. Once a doctor at an after hours clinic asked my mom if she knows why my skin was purple and blotchy, she said it was normal and he hushed. I wish she would've just listened to him.

This condition is called cyanosis. It is basically caused when you have poor circulation. The bluish skin is caused because there is not enough blood in your tissues. To treat it, exercise more often, or just try and take deep breaths

Hi! I'm a 14 year old white girl and I have the same problem. My parents said I shouldn't worry about it, but no one else has it. I think it might be something to do with circulation. My hands, arms, feet and legs are normally mottled (more so if I am cold) and when especially cold I get orange patches. Also, my feet can get worryingly cold if I walk around in bare feet, or even when I wake up in the morning.

Also, j exercise a lot. However, after exercise it normally goes away and then comes back.
