I can only say the past week has been horrific. Shouldn't we be warned of the withdrawals this drug causes? I would have rather spill hot coffee on myself at McDonald's than go through this pain and torture. Maybe even gotten a million bucks.

i think it's more the zoloft than the coming off it, those feelings of utter rage

It helps and reacts to everybody different. I have been taking 50 mg a day for 3 years and decided to go off because of loss of energy and other reasons . I started feeling dizzy and weak about a week after I quit, now I am 2 weeks after and feel even worse. I should of weened my self off but I had no idea that a little zoloft could be so powerful. I went to gnc today and bought some 5-htp to see if it will help, either way I am going tough it out, it has to start getting better. I will never touch or take zoloft again.

Stay strong. The end result will be worth it. I'll never touch the stuff again either. I went cold turkey suffering the dizziness. Probably should have weened off it. Still here though.

How was your experience after starting the 5HTP? I read that starting 5HTP before the Zoloft is completely out of your system, can lead to serotonin syndrome. I am trying to quit Sertraline and just reduced my dose from 150mg to 100mg two days back. It looks like a long road before I will be completely off of it. I want to quit faster and would greatly appreciate your advise and help on this matter.
Did you start the 5HTP immediately after stopping the Zoloft or after a few days? What do you suggest to someone that wants to quit faster? Thanks a lot.

Hi I can see you posted this about a month ago and would like to know how it went for you. How did you cope with quitting cold turkey? I am trying to quit with doctors help and just reduced my dosage from 150 to 100 two days back. I would like to quit completely as soon as possible.

I had 100 mg starting from my ex wife for about 3 years. Honestly the side effects after I stopped experiencing emotional reactions to certain situations was not worth it. Sweat, constant perspiration, coupled with head aches if I missed a pill with in 6-8 hours was unequivocally worse then the withdrawal 2 weeks of the same c**p.

I took zoloft for 15 years. I quit cold turkey a few weeks ago. I feel I am going crazy. The range of emotions going all over the place. How long will it take to feel normal.
