Ok, i am 15 years old and i am on a swimteam. i have practices daily, and i must wear goggles. These goggles usually leave red marks, but they disappear after an hour or so. I have been swimming since i was 7 and i have never had this problem before. About a month ago, my left eye started to get puffy and i have red marks around it.(like the outline of my goggles) and it wouldnt go away. :-(
After a week or so i wet to my doctor because it was getting worse . She gave me some steroid pills and cream, and it worked a little. the puffyness has vanished, but i am left with almost blister-like lines around one eye. The doc sad i shouldnt stop swimming or wearing goggles, but it just wont go away! she also said i shouldnt wear eye make-up till its gone. you would not believe the way some kids at my school are doing and saying about me. its so embarrasing! :$
I didnt get a new pair of goggles or anything, and i havent ever had this problem in the past 7 years i have been swimming. My mom is going to make me a dermatoligist appt. tomorrow, but i cant stand it!!!!! :'( i doesnt hurt or ich or anyting like that... but it does burn if i put moisturizer on it. i would really appreciate if anyone could help me. has this happened to any of you? please help!!!!!! i am desperate. :'(
