According to other info on yeast infections in males, you must use the same creams that women use for it. Regular anti-fungals will not kill this type of yeast. So Use the Monostat or any of the generic yeast infection creams that women use

I am female and my boyfriend started noticing this a day ago.I did some research and if the anti fungal creams dont work vinegar and water should.Try soaking your penis in a distilled vinegar 2 times a day, once in the morning and once before bed.Let it air dry.Guys before touching your penis after you eat..wash your hands.

I had the same issue. I developed a red irritated looking (it didn't itch or hurt) rash on the top of the crown of my penis. From there it spread under both sides and extended under the tip. I also had a dark rash that didn't hurt between my legs where they join my torso. I have been married and faithful for 20 years so I knew it wasn't anything sexually related. I tried the Monistat 7, Desitin cream, Cortisone cream and just about everything else that I could think of to get rid of it. I finally went and saw my primary and he said it was fungal and gave me Ketoconazole. Two tubes later, no results except the affected area would get really dry and start to peel. I then went to my dermatologist and right away, he diagnosed me with a "fixed drug reaction". He said I was having an ongoing reaction to a medication that I was taking. I was only taking two medications; Omeprazole and Ibuprofen. He then gave me a prescription for Triamcinolone cream. Turns out that one of the 5 leading drugs for fixed drug eruption is the family of anti inflammatory drugs that Ibuprofen is a part of. I suspect that this is what is causing my issue. I have been using the cream now for three days and my condition on my penis is nearly entirely gone. The inside of my legs are markedly improved. I would strongly encourage anyone going through this to look into fixed drug eruption. In my case, it appears that, since I used these two drugs almost every day, that I was perpetuating my condition. I feel great that I am almost back to normal. Hope this helps and good luck everyone. This thing about drove me nuts.

this skin abnormality is exzema for most. the symptoms are a manifestation of another problem somewhere in the body, you will continue to have recurring issues untill you eliminate the cause. excess sugar promotes yeast growth, so cut down your sugar intake drastically. if your body is toxic, eczema is the skins reaction to the toxins in your body, so a good full body cleanse will take care of the cause, thus eliminating the symptoms. treating a problem naturally is the only way to solve a medical problem, instead of masking the symptoms with drugs that have side effects them selves

Many of the posts here are discussing different problems. Irritation from lack of proper lubricant during masterbation is different from a rash with peeling skin. I suddenly developed the problem described here while on a trip. My entire penis got red and rashy; the skin felt like plastic wrap and peeled off every couple of days. I figured I'd go to a doctor at home, but I caught a cold so figured I'd wait until Zi was better. Well, the problem went away before I was over my cold. No ointments, creams, or pills. I'd never had this before and hope I never do again

i also have this problem. and I think that it is in fact to do with too much masturbation and sex. i masturbate 1-2 times a day and when my girlfriend comes round we have sex and i usually ejaculate 3-4 times in a day when she is here. my skin hasn't peeled yet but it is dry and there is a rash. i am 15 and really worried because i cant tell my mum so can someone please find out for me?

Hi guys I've had this before. It's a fungal infection. I cured mine with a single dose of 150mg diflucan and twice daily application of daktarin powder. Just wash properly an apply the powder all over. Keep the place as dry as possible. Dry flaky skin should be less as the day go by. Use the powder for 10days even if symptoms have cleared. Worked like magic. Thank me later

I have had the same problem going on five years now. I've been tested for herpes and it's not herpes. They told me it was some kind of fungus like athlets foot but it's hard to go away on me but one thing thy did help was to wear loose boxers and not underwear or anything tight on your penis

the penis is not the problem.

the problem is caused by many different factors, and it is your body's way of removing an irritant.

either underlying or overly (pants, construct of pants etc)

simple answer is not in the chemist.

use the following:

1. bicarb of soda, mixed with tea.. sounds strange but it has two benifits:

1.1 bicarb is the cleanser with little or no after affect on your body;

1.2 tea is a known substance to 'draw out' the unwanted stuff (tea bag on the big fella works well whilst you are sleeping)

2. it is NOT an STD (if you know), so assure your partner of this, and lead them to the same pages on the web that acknowledge this (as it leads to less worry) - yes, you will get less oral, but probably safe any way, as we can cross-contaminate....

3. it is 80% fungal, and the rest is bacterial if you do not keep it clean. DO NOT use over the shelf anti fungals, as the penis is diatropic, in that what you put on, goes in. The flaking skin, and rash is your body protecting itself naturally, nothing more.

End post:

If it has happened, it is reccurent, only you will know what your lifestyle and consumation have to do with it ie: alcohol, drugs, diet, excercise.. all in all health.

It is really a simple sign that the body is a little stressed, that is all.... look to helping it :)
