Hello,

So, you need to flatten your abs after pregnancy.  There are so many exercises to flatten abs however situps is not one of them.  Stay away from those guy.  It's one thing to buiild ab muscles but it's another to get rid of the fat over those muscles.  The key is that you lose weight all over at the same time.  Not just on the abs.  You need a fast paced aerobic exercise that you do for 5 to to 10 and repeat up to 10 times.  Now you won't be able to do this at fist so start out slowly.  All you do is bounce around, swing your arms, kick your legs while standing.  Do this in place stop when your tired, rest, then go again.  The idea is to burn calories as fast as you can.

Hello! When you are pregnant your abdominal muscles (rectus abdominalis) may get a gap between them. Normally it takes some weeks 1-2 months untill these muscles get back together and you should wait for this until you restart doing abdominal exercises. But if you had a C-sectio you should considering doing them after 3 months and after your doctor has agreed after examination. If you had a natural delivery you can start with light aerobic exercise, like walking 6 weeks post partum after your doctor will do a check up. What you can also start after 6 weeks is mild stretching exercise. Don't hurry up your recovery process.

Some women postpartum can trim their bellies without any difficulty at all while others need to work out a lot to get their abdominals back to pre-baby shape.  It also depends on how much you gained during the pregnancy.  It will take some time to get the tummy flat again.  One way is to breastfeed; you are saying, What???  But if you breastfeed, the uterine muscle will contract and tighten so that your abdomen will shrink faster.  Also, you will want to slowly start with crunches (if you had the baby vaginally).  If you had a C-section, you may want to begin with calisthenics and work your way to crunches.
