Sudden onset of a mass over right submandibular glands, MRI done and suggested of a mass but malignant tumour could not be excluded. FNAC also done but no diagnosis could be made. The doctor suggested to have operation on excision of the mass. What is the usual complications? Will it affect the production of saliva? Is it a malignant tumour or benign tumour?

Until your doctor can actually do surgery on it for a biopsy then there's no way for you to really know until you can actually get it out. It's ahrd to say whether it's malignant or not so perhaps it would be a good idea for you to actually get the surgeryjust to make sure you get it out of your body. Let us know how it goes, okay?
