Is running on the beach more difficult? I like sea and I think that when you run, the scenery should be beautiful in order to psychologically motivate you. I tried to run on the beach, but for some reason I couldn’t. My feet were hurting and I constantly stumbled. Why is this so? I thought that asphalt is very unpleasant for feet because it’s hard and when your foot hits the ground, it can lead to a certain injury.

Actually, you’re wrong because it’s easier to run on the asphalt no matter how hard it is, because your feet constantly dip in the sand and it is not good for your ankles. The possibility of an injury is greater when you run on the sand, because the ground is uneven and your feet don’t have a stable support. You need to be very careful and to watch your step. And be sure to wear proper shoes for that occasion. Don’t try to run barefoot because it can only make things worse. If you can’t feel comfortable, try to find a paved trek near the beach or run is some beautiful park. And if you find running to be boring, bring an mp3 player.

Unless you live in Daytona Beach, Florida where cars are allowed on the beach and it is very hard and compacted already, I agree with the above post.
