Never had typical right quadrant pain but had terrible nausea, bile diahrrea, pain between shoulder blades and gas-----had CT scan (negative)---abdominal ultrasound (negative ---endoscope (showed mild inflammation)---many blood test including liver and pancreatic enzymes (negative) ---Hida scan (low ejection fraction of 30)---so my internist, GI doctor and sugeon said take out gallbladder---now I am two weeks past surgery and still have the symptoms----went to post op appointment and surgeon said just give it time, take prilosec, and maalox-----some people take awhile to recover and get accustomed to not having a gallbladder---has anyone else had this---if so, what helped? I would so appreciate any guidance you can give me---thanks--

be sure to stay away from caffeine, dairy (skim milk is easy on my stomach for me), tomato paste, spicy and fatty foods, chocolate, mint, etc. my doctor gave me a LONG list of things not to eat. try elevating your bed. my doctor thinks that since i had my gallbladder removed it might just be acid reflux.
