Has anyone ever tried this on this on their varicose veins? If so how were the results? Any information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have lots of spider veins popping up everywhere and decided to try the sclerotherapy. Well it hurt a heck of a lot worse than I ever thought or read about. It felt like I got stung by 100 bees! The doctor said I couldn't move or jerk away from the needle because it might rupture the vein causing worse damage. Now I hate to scare everyone, but at least you should know. Actually my session was supposed to be an hour but I had to quit at 1/2 hour because I couldn't take it anymore. The thighs and back of thighs were fine but the back of my knee was way too sensitive for this.

I could not walk for the next 24 hours which was fine because I was supposed to have my legs propped up. That whole night it felt like a cat had scratched up and down my legs. Sorry for the graphic description, I should have had pain killers but I didn't think of it at the time and definitely could not drive to the store.

It appears the veins are disappearing but it is still hard to tell because they start out as bruises that slowly fade away. The back of my legs still hurt and they are tingling and numb. I don't know if it still is supposed to feel this way. I am afraid the blood is trying to find elsewhere to go and I will have more veins after this. I am supposed to go back in 2 weeks time. I am not even sure right now if I will have more done. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your reply, I'm supposed to go in about one month to get my varicose veins done, definitely nervous...do you know what they used to inject your veins? How long ago did you have this done?

Are you getting new veins, what are the signs that make you think the blood is gonna make new veins appear?
