Hello, I am a 54 year old male that also had a questionable sexual encounter that resulted in sticky, tingling, burning pain around my scrotum and anus. No rash just some pink discoloration. From my research it appears to be genital dysaethesia (burning scrotum syndrome, red scrotum syndrome) It has been 15 dreadful months and I have seen numerous dermatologist and doctors. I have tried all the creams and powders, nothing seems to help. I empathize with the forum, This has not been easy for me. I have been stressing out and am constantly worried about being contagious. My over all health is declining and I feel depressed at the time. Reading about others symptoms and possible cures helped as I just scheduled an appointment to test for prostatitis. I recently had some cloudy urine along with blader pain. I hope and pray that we can all be properly diagnosed soon. Best of luck, I literally feel your pain. I will let you know what the Dr. finds today.

F.O. Why are you in this forum?

My Dr will not prescribe antibiotics unless there is proof of an infection. Including myself there are no signs just months of burning symptoms, Most all of us are taking numerous tests and they are coming back negative. I am thinking it may be some kind of contact dermatitis with some possible neuropathic pain syndrome (overactive nerves) lots of stress. I have seen numerous Dr's (embarrassing) nobody has a clue. I recently discovered the term scrotadynia or vulvadynia. Vulvadynia symtoms appear worse for females. Are Scrotadynia, Red scrotum syndrome, Burning scrotum syndrome contagious? google genital dysithasia Fing nightmare!

HELP!!! WHY ARE NO DOCTORS OR SPECIALISTS COMMENTING? We could use some help here!

Vulvodynia is the correct spelling. If this is not contagious why is everybody getting it following sexual encounters?

Ok, good news guy's. Back from the Dr. no problems with piss or prostate. Best information I found so far is researching women's Vulvodynia it appears to be the same as Scrotodynia. They can cause bladder issues , spasms, digestive issues etc. Not contagious but could happen under the right conditions following sex. Introduce some chemicals, boost some hormones then toss some nerves in the mix and you could feel the burn. Apparently, I have just been self diagnosed again. Doctors and dermatologists need to get their sh*t together. Watching the women and specialists on YouTube talk about Volvodynia and treatment has been a relief and comforting. Halleluia! Best, Ballsonfire

I had unprotected sex with a girl about 8 months ago now and right after I noticed that my penis and scrotum were a darker color ( almost brown ) and I had a blue balls feeling mainly in my left testicle that was prominent for a good 4 months. I then developed a a line of red bumps on my thigh two days after the sex that went away in a few days. Then I noticed my scrotum turned red and itched quite a bit. I developed a rash feeling under the skin between my scrotum and thighs but mainly on the left side.

It tingles a little but when I move it it goes away. I also had a little pain in my penis from time to time. The weirdest part is that I can't really see that anything is wrong from the outside except that its all a little discolored still. There is also on and off tingling /itching around scrotum mostly but sometimes all over. Please help. I'm only 19

Welcome to planet mofa, don't expect much help from doctors all they got is bad medicine ,you want help see a natural pathologist ,the shitters can't put a patent on natural medicine ,so they discredit it ,bacteria has evolved so antibiotics don't get rid of it ,bacterial vaginosis triggered my auto immune disease ,don't trust anyone and abstain from sex ,follow a strict anti inflammatory diet and meditate so the body can heal itself.

Guys, this is going to sound strange, but I had a very similar thing happen to me. I had a sexual encounter in October 2017, and two days later, I got a painful burning/itching in my perineum. The pain moved from the perinatal region to deep in the rectum. I had no idea what was going on. I tested negative for all STDS. My penis, testicles, area around my genitals also began to feel painful. Urinating became a painful process, where I developed hesitation etc. My testicles would also tingle uncontrollably. Fast forward to January of 2018. I went to a different doctor who prescribed Bactrim DS. Immediately I got very bad muscle twitching all over my body, aches and pains in my right leg, burning feet, and a host of other issues. At first, I thought this was a drug reaction, and was very scared. I began researching continuously. A lot of my symptoms coincided with Lyme disease. LOW AND BEHOLD, I tested positive for Lyme. This was a whole other beast. I was given 28 days of Doxycycline which is the standard Lyme treatment. At the end of treatment, I felt almost 100% better. Great. I attempted to have sex again, protected. No sooner than 3-4 hours after sex, the painful perianal burning returned, the rectal pain returned, etc. Two days later, my entire body was aching worse than before. This was in February of 2018. It is now October, and the pain is quite a bit less, but still noticeable. My belief is that sex/smoking was the trigger to bring the Lyme out of hiding. Its a shitty, shitty disease, and takes years to fight (which is why these short bursts of antibiotics do nothing to cure everyone of this sh*t). The worst part is if you have had it for a while, you could test negative for it, and still have it. I recommend testing for Lyme and its co-infections (Bartonella, Babesia, Mycoplasma, etc.) through IGENIX labs. This isn't to say that everyone has Lyme, but I am 99% positive that my issues in the genital region stem from Lyme and its co-infections, as I have tested positive for Baronella and Mycoplasma as well.
