I just had hysterectomy yesterday . They did a total vaginal hysterectomy with ovaries left in tact. It really is not that bad at all .. not even really much pain. so far so good

Wow Nola, I thought I was young at 39 having to have a hysterectomy. Are you having a vaginal or lap procedure and are you having the ovaries taken out or left in? I had a complete lap hysterectomy in Aug 2010. The hysterectomy itself went fine, but unfortunately I suffered from some complications, not from the procedure, but from my personal health history...they say! I think you'll do great! Like I said my hysterectomy I had no complaints.
