I would definitely see a good gastro doctor and ask him to test you for everything like Celiac Disease, look into irritable Bowel Syndrome, etc. Doctors don't routinely look for these things, and for Irritable Bowel it's usually diagnosed after everything else is ruled out. As for me, I had intense pain in my stomach tot he point I would pass out. I would be rushed to the hospital constantly for morphine and tests and spent days and weeks in a hospital bed. I had a chronic inflammatory appendix which, for 15 years, would enlarge & swell, then right before it would burst, would go back to normal. They never caught it on x-rays, but when the surgeon went in he found a mass inside the appendix and adhesions (scar tissue) all over my intestines. I am now 32 and this happened when I was 23. 3 years later the pain was still bad. I was down to 124 pounds from 225 (5 foot 10 inches tall) and was in hell. I had a second surgery where they removed my gall-bladder and more adhesions. The gall-bladder should have been taken out 5 years earlier as the technicians had missed it in all my tests. This caused great stress on my pancreas which is now in not-so-good shape.

There are many things they can test for, but ask them to go the road less taken as far as testing and diseases. It could be something as simple as a hormonal imbalance, which you can fix with pills, gel or a weekly shot, or something like Celiac disease or it could be colitis or Crohn's disease, which is very difficult, but can be almost cured with probiotics. If Crohn's is what you have, read the book "Patient Heal Thyself". You're life will change for the better.

There is also fibromyalgia, but that, like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, is difficult to diagnose and will probably only be diagnosed after everything else is ruled out.

Just DO NOT let them tell you that it's in your head!!! They told me that for almost 20 years, and I lost my 20's. I am 32 (last Monday), disabled with Pancreas problems among many others, and all because doctors didn't take the time to read the scan correctly and BELIEVE what i was telling them. If your doctor cannot read the scan, take it to a surgeon (for a consultation) and have them read the SCAN. NOT THE REPORT!!! Many of the people, at least in the hospitals I went to, and they were the best in New York City, could not properly read a CAT scan or MRI, or even a simple X-Ray.

I wish you the best of luck!!! GOD BLESS!!! You WILL FIND YOUR ANSWERS!!! DON"T GIVE UP!!!!

Hi, I've learned from experience the only way you are going to improve your health is to first do a COLON cleanse (hook parasites draw blood and make us anemic) and then a LIVER/GALLBLADDER cleanse!!! Don't let them chop you to pieces or tell you it is some vague elusive disease just because they can't figure it out. Our environment is toxic, and everyone needs to help and educate themselves. The medical field is only taught how to dispense pharmaceuticals. Some of the cleanses and and detox programs are tough but you won't be disappointed with the end result. When our liver (or system purifier) is plugged and dirty it cannot do its job. Even allergies lessen when the liver is allowed to heal (milk thistle is THE ONLY substance ever shown to actually regrow/repair liver tissue). I'd rather try a cleanse first than risk getting hacked up by the butchers.

Hi, I have severe flank pain on the right side that generates to the front.  I have had my gall bladder removed, a hysterectomy, diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, stage 4 kidney disease and pancreatitis.  My suggestion to the person with the cystic duct is to have the ercp.  My bile duct was plugged and they opened it and I felt like I could  "dance on the table tops".  It really helped!  Needless to say, I have had problems with it plugging up several times since then. They finally sewed it open.  Needless to say, i have severe flank pain on the right side, my abdomen is swollen (I look like I'm pregnant), I have terrible headaches. I also have pain that generated to the right shoulder.  It is very hard to function.  My urine shows white blood cells and is cloudy,  I have been put on antibiotic which didn't help.  I just had a ultrasound of my kidneys and awaiting the results.  I can't believe that with all the high tech equipment and educated doctors no body can figure this out!  My heart goes out to other that have this problem.  Thanks
