hi everyone i have been suffering from nausea and vomiting for over 8months, i had endless blood test scans, xrays of stomach, and i also had a camara up the bum and town the throat sorry cant member the names for them, but they found nothing apart from acid reflux but even on meds for that i was still sick all the time even lost 10kgs, i am the same as some of you girls i hated life soo much it is extremly hard to be that sick and have a 3 year old son at 20, the docters had no idea where to look nexts after i had my op and found nothing but reflux, i have been on ondansetron wafers for the over 8months that i was sick and it worked maybe first couple times then didnt work for me much and that is the strongest anti nausea you can get it is what cancer patients have, then i ended up in hospital once again with it i would have bad times where i would get the sickness and with that i would feel like i was going to faint but couldnt and i would get hot and cold flashes and would shake and feel very light headed so the last time i ended up in hospital with it i got admited for a week they gave me cyclizine and i fault having that and the 8mg ondansetron together would help, and then after a while i got to a very low point in life from it i then found out that the hole time a huge part of it was actually suvier anxiety i never new it could make you sooo sick and make you not even be able to get up from bed, so maybe also look into that cause i swor to my self it would never be that but after getting on the right meds i have found that i dont spew any more when i use to spew every other day now i dont spew but i do stil get alot of nausea but not like i did before so i think apart of it was anxiety but it cant be the ful reason cause i am still sick but i havnt end up in hospital with one of my very bad eposodes again so i do think that part was the anxiety but i do stil have nause and have had every test i can so i kind of just live with it now, but just be carefull cause when you take some meds for to long they stop working and that has what iv found with the ondansetron it eases it a lil but dosnt make me 100%, so maybe look into anxiety and depression cause you might not wont to no its that but it could be, but then there are so many diff reason for why you are sick but thats my story, i am trying to find more natural ways of helping with the nausea with out costing to much so am trying to work on what will work best for me, i really hope yours dose not last like it has for me and alot of the other people on here cause it really changes your life and just member if the sickness is getting you down and when you are exspceting it to come on at night and you get upset about it you could get anxiety and thats what could be making you sick from being scard of being sick is causen anxiety and then you are being sick because of that this is what i think mainly happend to me, all the best with finding out whats wrong to all the people with this is is truly horrible to go thorugh wouldnt wish it upon any one hope this give u a lil more to maybe look into to all the people on here, thanks for reading this novel haha :)

I think that you may be right here. However it is a tricky subject.
I have emetaphobia also and have done for over 7 years. There are times when I experience the phantom nausea that I know (afterwards) is related to my emetaphobia.
However, the past couple of weeks I have been experiencing lower abdominal pain, nausea and other symptoms that I believe are related to coming off the Depo-Provera injection. However, the past few days while the pain has gone I have been experiencing evening nausea. I am finding it hard to tell if it is a continuation of the nausea I felt when I was unwell, or if it is phantom nausea.
Either way, do you know of any good tricks to make it go away/relieve it??

I have suffered with nighttime nausea for years. The only thing that helps 90% of the time is alprazolam (xanax) I have been diagnosed with GERD and IBS. A doctor many years ago put me on xanax. He said that they put cancer patients on this for nausea due to chemo and I find it does help most of the time. I don't like staying over night anywhere because of this condition. I too, have to walk the floors, or go outside in the cold air to help relieve the nausea. I do not have a fear of vomiting. I have even made myself throw up thinking that it would relieve the nausea, but it only makes it worse. I also, have found eating a few club crackers with just a little water helps absorbs the acid in my stomach. I just found out that my blood sugars are high with the bouts of nausea.

Gallbladder... Had the same problem in my 20's. I never really had a gallbladder "pain" attack, just constant burping.

After reading a couple of the stories here I thought I would share my own in case it helps. For 3-4 months I became extremely nauseated all the time. I felt full even after eating only a few bites of food, had abdominal pain, and vomiting. It became so bad that I was unable to drink or eat enough to keep my body functioning so I was in the hospital getting treated for dehydration and malnutrition. However every test (ultrasounds of the gallbladder, CT scan of my abdomen and brain, tons of blood/urine work, endoscopy, HIDA scans) all came back relatively normal with nothing conclusive. When I became well enough to tolerate a little solid food I was given a Gastric Emptying Test and I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis or delayed stomach emptying. Though the most common known cause of this disorder is diabetes I am only 21 years old an aside from this incident I've never been seriously ill. Perhaps some others have the same condition. While I'm glad to know what's wrong with me, there is unfortunately little that can be done to help. Even with several medications and treatments I still am nauseated most of the time, have trouble maintaining my weight, have low blood pressure, now have some acid reflex because my esophagus was weakened from all the vomiting, and am tired and fatigued most days but I have remained out of the hospital for a little over half a year since I was finally diagnosed.

Hi, My daughter had all the symptoms listed in previous posts (night time nausea) we FINALLY got her diagnosed, CELIACS DISEASE, we took her off all wheat products (you would be amazed at what it is in) and she feels 100% better...worth a try, you start with a blood test then if that is positive, you go to a gastrologist and get a scope down the throat to confirm with a biopsy of the intestines..1 in 100 people have celiacs and it has over 300 different symptoms, so it is hard to diagnose..research it..good luck!
