hello, i am a younger woman and for as long as i can remember [back in 3rd grade, even] i have always had stomach problems. i would just like to start off by saying, no i'm not pregnant. about a year ago my stomach problems started flaring up again. i was having constant nausea, a feeling like something was in my throat, fatigue, stomach pains [not cramps] really sharp pain, and even got so dizzy i fell over a couple of times.
the uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and the nausea made it almost impossible for my husband & i to have intercourse, so that, and the fact that he was tired of listening to me crying out of frustration at 3 in the morning, he advised me to go to the doc. we went on vacay [it was awful i felt sick the whole time and ruined the trip- and started having diarrhea too] and when i got back i finally made it to the doc and he diagnosed me with acid reflux and irritable bowl syndrome. he prescribed me nexium for the acid reflux and for a while it helped the "something in the back of my throat" feeling. but it made my stomach pains worse! [i looked up the side effects for nexium and stomach pain is a possibility] so i quit taking it. but the nausea and overall stomach blahs never went away. i feel like the ibs was a misdiagnosis... i do not have diarrhea and go to the bathroom constantly like i've heard from others who have ibs.
my mother and all my friends seem to think im making all this up. i will be the first to admit i am a hypochondriach [if someones got a virus or something, within mere seconds i feel scared like i might already have it too, lol] BUT there is no way i'm making this up. im not particularly stressed, but, doing research, i feel maybe my answer is, i have a stomach ulcer? i dont know how to get that checked out though, or what procedures they have to do for that.. but the thought of even getting checked out scares me! but i want my life back! my husband is upset because we're never really intimate because, especially at night, i'm feeling too sick to perform. i'm tired of taking trips and planning my evenings around it [i wont even go to a movie because i fear i may get sick while i'm there and waste my money]
i'm always feeling sick.. and my biggest fear is to go into a doctors office, have every test known to man run on me, and them not know what's wrong. that, or telling me i have stomach cancer... =[ i dont know what to do! does anyone else have these symptoms? and more importantly, has anyone that had these symptoms been diagnosed??

i have the exact same thing as you, almost insanely similar. and no one knows whats wrong with me either. i get the diarrhea if i'm away from home. i also am ruining my relationships because i'm scared to go out since i never feel well. i was also given nexium by my doctor, who is clueless as to what else to do. i really don't know what could be wrong with us. everyone thinks i'm making up my symptoms too, because they are just so bizarre. we need to find out what is wrong with us so we can get our lives back

I have had the same symptoms since i was a little girl constantly feeling sick to my stomach. Last year on my 20th birthday i went into the ER with bad stomach pain i felt exteremly sick to my stomach. It turns out i had ovarian cysts ... when they rupture you feel stomach pain and nausea ... you also get cramping feeling with normally causes diarrhea ... i just always thought i would have to spend my whole life chugging pepto bismol but the weird thing was whenever i had sex it would hurt either on my left or right side ... my doctor decided to do surgery and they found a little bit of endometriosis ... which i was lucky they caught it soon because if i waited too long it could have made it difficult for me to have children. So if you are experiencing these symptoms dont wait and see your GYN as soon as possible.

you need to seek the advice of a specialist 1st. See a gastroenterologist, they will do all the appropriate tests to rule out anything sinister and probably a gyno. Cancer of the stomach is rare, more prevelant in men and the over 50 crowd - poor diet is also a contributor. Food sensativities, Hpylori infection, even hypothyroidism can cause these symptoms - and not limited to. I would also suggest that you enlist a good certified naturalpath as well, certainly once all that is sinister has been ruled out. you can have sensitivities to wheats, glutens and dairy or eggs that can make you feel sick all the time unless you clean up your gut. Hope this helps.

It's amazing that there is someone out there like me. I have felt nauseous and sick since I was 7. I never get sick like a cold, flu, or virus, but i always feel sick. I don't ever throw up but 7 days a week every day I feel nauseous. I have my bad times and good times. Sometimes I'm not sick for weeks, either times I'm sick for months straight. All the doctor says is you have indigestion and heartburn, here some nexium. UH NO, dosen't work for nausea and pain. They prescribe you what the majority of the patients feel which almost 80 to 90% of americans have indigestion or heartburn at least once a week. I just want a normal life, my boyfriend i know is sick of hearing it, my family is sick of it, my parents think i'm making it up and it's all in my head, which i have told myself for 8 years, but i dosen't go away. If anyway is out there that has these symptons, im, text me and maybe we can resolve this together.

hey all,
did you guys figure out what the cause of your symptoms were?  i'm a 22-year-old male with very similar symptoms that started around september of last year and have been ongoing most days... i am constantly hungry, nauseous, bloated, and tired.  i am looking into celiac disease as a possible cause and i will be seeing a doctor as soon as i get my insurance card from work.  since i started trying to stay away from gluten, i have had a lot more energy; sleeping the regular 8-9 hours a day instead of 10-12.  i also was diagnosed with vitiligo last year, i'm not sure whether it's related.
