I wonder if i am the only girl here, i just woke up literally to the feeling of someone trying to stab my anus. I jumped out of bed and googled it because isn't the first time but it seems to get only worse with the time.
Kinda worried because my aunt died from colon cancer and she used to say that her buttocks were in pain from time to time. Am i dying?

It is hapning with long hours sitting or drivig and not doing excersise at all. Also, constipation is the biggest cause of this symptom. Avoid meat consumption and eat vegetables and food that inriched fibers.

Do not eat any kinds of meat and chili spicy food. Try vegetables and fruits to avoid constipation and not to have a coffee on empty stomach. Also, do your exercise daily.

I am currently on the toilet with the sharp pain right now. For two years now my stool has been hard as a rock and I've usually had to go up and get it to make it come out if you know what I mean. But the pain always seems to come after I've been laying on my back for long periods of time and wake up. But it's excruciating almost like I broke a bone back there. I try everything but nothing makes the pain go away. Heeeeellllppppp

I just explaned that I was sitting on the toilet in excruciating pain. I stuck my finger up my butt to see if there was anything I could help with. And there were literally three turds stuck in there. It's still sore but feels a lot better now that I got them out.

Omggggggg this is so uncomfortable. Like the most of you this pain would hit me really hard but only for a few seconds.... Last night while laying down watching movies with my kids it hit except this time it stayed for maybe a hour I was also feeling pressure so I went to the rest room... It was very painful and uncomfortable but I was able to go and finally the pain subsided for the most part
I just got if work ate and laid down and it's back but this time I can't use the bathroom idk what to do. I'm in tears rt now

OMG, I am so pleased to have found this page, I get this too, I have had it for the last 20 years. Wake up with what feels like a cramp in my anus. crawl to the loo on a really bad night , or hobble if not as bad. and sit there for the next 1/2 - 1 hour, and nothing much happens.
I don;t drink coffee or alcohol, nor do I smoke, I can't eat pop corn and very rarely have white bread. I eat relatively well, with only the occasional lapse. have never worked out the cause.
But I guess I will be seeing a doctor soon, as another problem has happened over the last 5 days, Now there is blood, bright red and all the time, and not just spotting. SO after Christmas, I am off to see Dr and enjoy all the embarrassing tests I have coming my way

I had these for more than a decade - here is what you can do to get better.

After eating go for a short walk or just walk around for 10 mins around the house.

Do not sit or lay especially in same position shortly after eating - gas builds up, you dont feel it but it is there. Pay attention if any gas comes out within 5 minutes of the pain, to confirm it was there causing the pain. Better ro go for a short walk, dont sit.

Do not drink aclohol or coffee. Avoid carbs/starches/sugar. Especially avoid eating meat at the same time with starches like potatoes, bread, corn. Eat meat with salad. Avoid too much meat. Avoid too much fiber at once. Avoid creamy dressings, creamy soups, anything creamy, fried foods. Avoid chocolate.

When pain happens find the most comfortable position and freeze for 30-40 seconds - usually by then the pain is gone.

Try taking 2 pills of Colace stool softener. Drink a lot of water.
