I understand that women sometimes have severe and long-lasting side effects from stopping hormonal birth control, but could these side effects occur after having taken the pill for just 15 days??

I'm 33 and had never taken a BC pill in my life because I hated the idea of messing with my system. However, I decided to give it a try about six weeks ago. Turns out I was right, the pill just isn't for me, so after I accidentally forgot to take pill #16 I just said "forget this" and stopped taking them altogether. I'd had breakthrough bleeding for a week before I quit. The bleeding continued for another nine days until it stopped the day before I was supposed to start my period. At this point I am now 12 days late. I've never been a day late EVER. I've also gained 6 pounds because I can't stop eating, I'm moody and irritable, having trouble sleeping, my breasts are absolutely HUGE and I'm bloated all over, and worst of all I've felt nauseated almost every day since I day I stopped taking the pill. I've taken two negative pregnancy tests so I really don't think that's it. I also seem to have developed a persistent yeast infection. It seemed to go away after a three day treatment but it's back a few days after I thought I'd cleared it up. Another first, by the way, as I have never had a yeast infection. My lady parts have always functioned like a well-oiled machine. lol. Never had any trouble of any kind until now.

Is it possible to have such a strong hormonal reaction after only 15 days of BC pills? How long should I wait for my period before I become concerned? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
