Exercise is very good for pregnant mothers, but only for so long. If you do it your first trimester and the beginning of your second trimester, it's probably okay.

But you should talk to your doctor about this before actually doing anything. Your situation may be different from others. You may not be able to do it at all, or you may be able to do it for longer. Talk to your doctor.

Hallo Nithya,
You have to be moderate at everything and even in this. You have to know that your pregnancy is delicate and you can’t afford to overwork your body in any way. As Bedson said skipping rope is not a bad exercise, but as I heard it can help you gain weight. Have you noticed any weight gain in previous period?
You have to watch your diet while you exercise as well. With jumping your stomach tend to get a little upset and with pregnancy it may cause nausea and vomiting. So be prepared for this. How long are you pregnant? Have you considered to try some other exercises, besides skipping rope?
I hope that this was helpful in any way.
