About 2 weeks ago, my doctor had called me a few days after my appointment and told me she found mild signs of a yeast infection, but to simply eat yogurt and I'd be okay. About a week later, my boyfriend and I had protected sex. However, the day after that, I noticed a slight itch. I figured the sex had made the yeast infection worse, so I went to the pharmacy and bought Vagisil Anti-Itch Cream. I applied the cream that night, and woke up the next morning with redness and irritation. As the day went on, small bumps began to appear. I had called my doctor that same day to call in a prescription for the yeast infection. I applied that cream and the itching went away, but the bumps remained. The following day I went to the doctor and she took a Herpes culture. I have read that although it is rare, it is possible to get sores from a yeast infection. It hurts to urinate, and the sores are beginning to dry up. My boyfriend has been checked recently and he tested negative for everything. I don't see how this could be Herpes but I'm freaking out. Has anybody else had an experience like this?
