Hi, like most people posting threads on the internet im probly just being over paranoid. About a month ago i started to feel like somthing was not right down there like a weird sort of ache, so i had a little examiation of the scrotum and testicle ( already lost left testicle when i was 6 years old). i found a weird lump but its not a oval or pea shape more of like a vein , more long, shape located near the bottom of testicle on the left sidebut more towards the back of testicle .this does seem to be attached to testicle. the lump itself is squishy not hard and is no more then 3-4mm in size and has like a weird vein connected to it (also on the testicle itself) that leads to what seems to be the tail of epididymus. what puzzles me is tho when i wake up the lump is barely visble and shrunk in size to basicly nothing but late at night however the lump seems to be more visible and is when i feel the ache.

as i am sexually active i went to the walk in clinic and was seen by a woman who been doing her job for 35 years, i was diagnosed with nsu (non-specific urethitus) and was given antibiotics and told it will take a week for infection to clear up. she checked over my testicle and said everythign seems fine. can this infection cause somthing liek this to happen.

this dont cause any pain i can urinate and ejaculate fine and im not sure if i feel the ache sensation just because it is on my mind so much
anyone have any ideas they will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You've already been seen by a medical person, who prescribed medicine to treat the condition. There is no reason to doubt or question her ideas.
Yes, as long as you have some infection, swelling or reaction, you're going to feel an ache in that area.

If the swelling or ache doesn't leave before you run out of the antibiotic, you'll want to return for further assessment. But it's good that you walk, exercise, and pay attention to your scrotum.

If you want to spend BIG money, a urologist can take a look at the same structures and again assure you that it's nothing to worry about, but you'll need a referal, and, he may decide to go another route: Surgery to remove the swollen structure.

I wouldn't worry, but let the drugs take effect and relax.

cheers for the response i was thinking someones checked me over no need to worry but she didn't however see the lump as it is located toward the back of my testicle and is not very big anyway the anti-biotics have finished now seems to be the same thoughmaybe a fraction smaller. the woman just gave it a quick rub/massage over and saidlooks ok ??.

When you say "someone checked me over, and she didn't see the lump"... are you saying that a medical person examined you? And it almost sounds like you're happy that she overlooked the lump!?

It's possible that this lump is just a lymph node and will reduce on it's own time schedule. Don't squeeze it, don't attempt to pop or pressure it.
Apply warm compresses if you are still concerned.

hi i can assure u i am not happy she overlooked the lump why i am still worrying and questioning the lump on here it is actually scaring me. isit possible then for lympth nodes to swell up on this particular area of the testicle, as well as that nsu infection ive also had quite a bad chest infection ??. it was a walk in clinic i went in to and the woman that see me claimed she had been doing the job for 35 years so kind of trusted her opinion but then dont think she see the lump i just assumed that area of the testicle did not worry her. the lump definately does have some kind of vein attached to it as can be seen slightly through the scrotum skin. when applying warm compresses to it it does seem to soften up and get smaller after a while but is still there ? seems to be more noticeable and starts to ache a little bit after a long day.
