Hi, I have these three itchy red bumps on my outer labia, and when I first found out about them, I went straight to the doctor to get him to check it out. He said that it was definitely a viral infection, and that the worst case scenario was herpes. He took a sample and said that the test results would be back in two days. In the meantime, however, he reccommended that I take the prescription for herpes medication just in case that it was in fact herpes.

Now in the first place, the doctor was not even sure exactly what I have. The bumps are only sometimes itchy, and they cause no discomfort. He said that they do not look like typical herpes, being that they are red itchy bumps, and not white like normal herpes. I'm really freaking out because I'm only 21 and I dont' want this to happen to me.

Is there anything else that it could be besides herpes? It's been 2 days now since I've been on this medication, and there are no new bumps. What else could it be?

I also think that during oral sex and then traditional sex, an open cut from my mouth may have spread to my vagina through open cuts from shaving? There are so many possibilities, but could this cut on my inner lip have something to do with it as well?? I AM DESPERATE FOR ANSWERS...PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
