Well, i have found this site that has been real helpful. I know i have been going through these issues but a lot of it has to do with stress and or our acceptance to certain things with our bodies. Our bodies change and they do send us messages that we need to either change our lifestyles and or quit worrying and being stressed. Ive been having spasms now for the past two days but i noticed that i pay too much attention to them. Which causes the panic and anxiety. Ive had full work ups done and everything comes back normal. I still need to go get checked for my throat because thats where i feel the spasms aside the needle prick catch breath feelings. I know a lot of it has to do with the amount of stress and we just need to accept certain things in life and learn how to cope and keep healthy. I am self teaching myself to recondition my thought process. Here is a link that i found the other day due to my anxiousness and trying to find an answer. Hope this helps everyone out.

Finding these forums is the first comfort I have gotten since this started.  I believe mine are caused by a mix of anxiety and GERD but w/o doctor assurance I continue to worry it is my heart.  With my past history of drug and alcohol addiction I cannot confidently say "oh no, why me" if I had a massive heart attack at 32.  This began as I started taking zyrtec for the first time.  My heart began flip flopping in my chest maybe 2 or 3 times a day.  At the same time I got a terrible bout of constipation, had a constant bloated feeling and trouble swallowing some food and pills.  Then my friend's husband dropped dead of a heart attack at 36 and that is when this all went downhill.  My heart palpitations began almost immediately (but it is not just heart palpitations, it's as if the muscles throughout my chest are having spasms).  They are worse in the morning and horrible, horrible at night when I lay down for bed, but can happen anytime (almost exclusively when I am not keeping myself busy).  I also started getting chest pains.  However a doctor told me online that if I can point to my chest pain with a finger then it is almost certainly not heart pain.  He said pain from heart problems is not "intermittent, fleeting, or highly localized" so if that comforts anyone, I know it did me.  Anyway, I have one semester left of school before I become a teacher.  I hadn't had problems with my anxiety sine I got sober 5 years ago and now I am worried it could affect my career.  I am going to take the loss and go see a doctor w/o insurance.  Right now I would pay a couple thousand to have the peace of mind that this is not a structural defect with my heart.  Depression is becoming more severe as the religion I found that worked miracles on my recovery from addiction is not helping with this panic and it's causing a crisis of faith on top of everything else.  Anyway, I have been reading these forums for awhile and they have given me a great deal of comfort so I thought I would add my story for onc

The only way to cure anxiety is with anxiety medication or you may be able to find some home remedies

well this is the first site I've seen online that describes my symptoms correctly. I don't have pain or burning. I do have esophageal spasms (feeling like they are by or next to the heart) The spasms prompt a cough, and I do have deep burps frequently. On the other hand, I have a very good diet, keep up on my vitamins and exercise regularly. So, not sure why I would have a magnesium deficiency but, I'm willing to check it out. In the mean time I am trying to balance my PH levels thinking I may be a bit more acidic than I need to be. Thanks for the info.

Maybe I can help, it might seem an odd question although there is some genetics involved in similar gene pools, So if you could tell me your family background , blood line, I may shed some light on it, I am studying this now, You would help my research to find a cause,

Hello! I believe we have the same problem. I've got the same feeling of bubbling on my chest for a week already. It comes and goes, but its coming everyday. Like you, I was worried that maybe there is something wrong with my heart, or lungs, or stomach but I'm very fine except for this irritating bubbling thing on my chest. I googled to see if there's any people of the same experience as I do and to know what is the remedy, but to my dismay, I did not found any solid solution. Until one day, I resorted to natural herbal way of dealing with it. I remember when I was little, my grandmother would put a crushed ginger on my stomach whenever I got a gas problem. So without any doubt, I tried it to myself this time having this bubbling problem. What I did...I minced and crushed a medium amount of GINGER (just enough to give me a strong taste of it) in a bowl so that it will give out its juices (I use a bowl so that I can keep the juices of ginger). After crushing, I add a small amount of water on a bowl to collect all its juices and the crushed gingers and put them on a saucepan. After that, I add some more amount of water to make me good enough for one mug cap of hot ginger juice, then boil it. After boiling for about 5 minutes, I put it on my mug cap, add a bag of tea (like lemon tea) and honey to give it a taste. And YES! That bubbling thing is GONE! After drinking it I feel good and it stopped. The following day it did not come back...until now. I believe it worked. So I did not stop there, instead I continued drinking that ginger juice every other day for 5 times then I stop. Until now, by God's grace, that bubbling thing never came back again. So why don't you try it also, friend. It worked for me so I believe, it will work for you also.

I am 64 years old male and these days I am something of a hypochondriac. I have had an anxiety disorder for about 15 years. I have been getting these spasms for about two years. Nowadays they come about a half dozen a day. It's like a sudden, painless, spontaneous gasp, only it is a gasp without air. They last just a second but they are very creepy. The feelings of creepiness can stay for quite a while. At first I thought it was heart palpitations since I seemed to get them originally most often during, or shortly after an aerobic workout. All of my cardiac stuff has come back okay. I also have acid reflux. Sometimes the spasms come when I am feeling anxious, sometimes when I am not. I have concluded that the condition is not related to the heart. In my case it may be a combination of anxiety and acid reflux. As long as the spasms come just a half dozen times a day, I'll survive. If they come ever fifteen minutes, I'll have to make a fuss. The sensation of the spasms are too unsettlingly creepy not to.

Every one is different and it is not always apparent that you are having a heart attack. I have had 2, the first I was pretty unaware of, mimicked an asthma attack. My asthma can get pretty severe so as soon as I felt it coming on and realized my inhaler was empty I went to the ER. I had a great nurse that caught a slight arrhythmia and so they hooked me up to an EKG and drew some blood and before I know it they are telling me "ma'am you are not having an asthma attack you are having a heart attack that was when I was 24(never to young). I had my second at age 27 and first I felt like I had the flu for several days before and then when it hit I felt like someone was crushing my chest and was unable to grip with either hand.

I am a mother of a 2 years girl and I also experience this strange feeling in chest starting from my pregnancy. Now, it happens for about two month. The last month was horrible. I was to see a cardiologist, because it comes in waves and when the feeling is amplified my pulse jumps to 136. The cardiologist put me on a Holter monitor and I have also ventricular extrasystoles, but nothing very bad. However, I'm taking betablockers, and the pulse is ok, but I can't get rid of that strange feeling. It is everyday in my diaphragm and chest even if I don't feel it so powerful everytime. I also feel sometimes the strange feeling in my arm like you said. I want to ask you if escaped of that feeling and how? Many thanks!
Best regards,
Anca
