Ok. I am 19 years old and JUST lost my virginity on November 9th, 2010. My boyfriend and I since have been very actively having sex, but ALWAYS use protection. Also I have been on a birth control pill for nearly five years now. Before I was sexually involved, I had to use it for terribly heavy periods and cramps so bad they nearly put me in the hospital.
The last time my boyfriend and I had sex was on the 29th of November and once again we used protection correctly. Yesterday on December 1st I started spotting irregularly. I'm still spotting a little today. I'm scared out of my mind because in ALL the time I've been on birth control I've never once spotted. My period is always on time, on the third day of the placebo. My period HOWEVER is not supposed to be for another two weeks!
AM I PREGNANT?
Please, god, help me. Tell me what you know, give me links. If I get pregnant I will lose everything...

I really don’t think that you are pregnant – you are on the birth control for so long and you were protected. You will need to do a pregnancy test to be sure, but I think that you don’t need to worry about that part too much. It’s possible for changes in menstrual cycle or spotting to happen because of important change in your life – such as first sex definitely is, or because of the stress and anxiety. It is, on the other hand, unusual for this to happen after so many years on the pill and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check it with your gynecologist when you get the chance. Just don’t stress yourself out too much, that only makes things even more complicated.
